Bev “Loved the house, only suggestion would be a BBQ and a clothes line.”
Two very important things to have when on holiday.
- Bev, January 2024Coralie “It was a shame the place was not quite finished from renovating Eg.”
the stairs bathroom and kitchen finishing. Having no rail in the bathroom was a little annoying. The front step may need a water blast as I slipped off. The wifi and tv didn’t work and there wasn’t any instructions that we could find. Positives were that the fence was decent for the dog and awesome that it was dog friendly. It had a beautiful view from the front room. Great you could also drive right through. Kitchen was well equipped and clean. There was confusion about getting in and no way of ringing anyone. We rang through and it either threw you off the line or said the line was busy.
- Coralie, February 2023Thank you for your feedback and we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay at this fabulous pet-friendly home. This property was recently renovated which was a little delayed but it has now reached the completion stage. Bachcare
Natasha “Was just as it was described.”
Heat pump was awesome in winter and needed. Kitchen well equipped for all cooking needs.
- Natasha, June 2022Eric “Great place and value for money.”
Very quiet street. Wild rabbits throughout the area. Love it and would absolutely stay again.
- Eric, March 2022Sio “My family of 6 (4 kids under 5) stayed at the accommodation over a weekend.”
The house was perfect for our needs. The views from the house are amazing and access to the lake was only a short drive. We also brought along our kids bikes but found that the hills were just a bit too steep for our kids to navigate (but I'm sure older kids would not have a problem). This is a great place to stay for those with a family.
- Sio, January 2022Jo “Wonderful location and awesome well equipped bach.”

The property
Have you ever heard the phrase "house with a view"? Well, this right here is a view with a house! I See the Lake is a beautiful 3-bedroom, one bathroom Kiwi bach in Omori, with views of Lake Taupo to die for. Inside, I See the Lake resembles a cute, classic Kiwi bach with its tidy and welcoming living and dining area, and compact yet well-equipped galley style kitchen. The three bedrooms are perfectly configured for either a family or friend getaway, with the master bedroom featuring a luxurious king-size bed. Where this Omori bach really outdoes itself is the windows, which can only be described in the same way as we'd describe the view you see through them; grand. Thanks to the designer's penchant for swapping walls for glass, the living and dining room enjoy incredible views out over the deep blue waters of Lake Taupo, and eating your cornflakes will never be the same once you've dined at that breakfast bar! A heat pump will keep you toasty warm for winter getaways at I See the Lake, allowing you to put your feet up with a book, or switch on the TV and zone out. In the summer, we reckon you'll want to spend all your time out on the huge wrap around deck with its beanbags and glass bannister because we wouldn't want anything to interrupt that view! Don't forget to pack your rod and reel and try your luck down at the lake; you never know you might be firing up the BBQ for a feast of fresh fish for dinner! The private driveway is large enough to park not only your vehicle, but also a small boat, and the boat ramp is only 200 meters away! The kids will love riding their bikes to the nearby playground, and in just two minutes by car, you'll be at a local cafe to get your coffee fix! For more mainstream conveniences, you'll find Turangi 15 minutes drive south, and you can be in Taupo in just under an hour. If your next getaway calls for a jaw-dropping backdrop, then I See the Lake in Omori might be just what you're looking for.
Please note a bond may be charged at certain times of the year. One of our team members will contact you if this is required for your booking.
About the location
Located on the Southern end of Lake Taupo, Omori is a more secluded area around the lake. There's plenty of native bush and bushwalks to do here, as well as water-based activities on the lake such as kayaking, swimming, boating and water skiing. Because the area stretches over a hill, most of the holiday homes have a great view of the lake. All of our Omori holiday homes are pre-inspected prior to your arrival and are ready for instant online booking.
