The house is in a lovely area of Kerikeri, 5 minutes from the local shops but in a quiet, peaceful street. The upstairs deck has an incredible view and is the perfect spot for a bbq. Evening dips in the spacious spa were most welcome. We will certainly be back to this absolute gem.

Large spa pool was great for an evening soak once the sun went down. Great view and nice location a few minutes drive from Kerikeri. We caught a few snapper further out on the peninsula. Minor problems with the TV but other than that a great stay, we would love to be back sometime.

“Absolutely wonderful property , very tastefully decorated but lacking in a few basic amenities .”
At night we could not vent the property because of insects and the heat in the bedrooms was completely unbearable and only 1 desk fan is available between 3 bedrooms.
But the worst part of my experience was not the property but getting into the property.
I was driving from Auckland and was planning to arrive in Kerikeri at about 3pm but due to a breakdown on the road we finally got there around 7ish.
There are 3 lock boxes where it should have been only 1 but my nightmare started when all three would not open with the number provided.
There is no lighting where the lockbox is located and here we are battling to open the lockbox.
I kept phoning bachcare but nobody answers and I must have phoned about half a dozen times when somebody finally answered.
I then explained the situation but the gentleman could not help me saying his computer is down but he promised to call me back again after he gets online and retrieves the information about the lockbox .
He finally does call me back again and gives me a number to try and the lock box opens.
How can such a reputable company make such a big mistake?
Why did it take so long to give me the correct number?
All the time worrying that I have a family with me , it is absolutely dark and Bachcare is not reachable on the phone and knowing that the offices of Bachcare close at 9 pm .
My problem of the lock box number was solved in the Nick of time and I fear what I would have had to do if it went past 9pm and Bachcare offices would have closed

Bachcare
Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

There is a section of grass without a barrier with a drop that rolls down the hill. All guests should take care in this area due to the risk of falls.
