Belinda “Wonderfully surprised by the level of comfort and cleanliness of the chalet.”
Definitely enjoyed our stay and will recommend to our friends.

Kelly “At this price point I’m expecting a lot more comfort.”
Clearly, the price is for the view alone. We were disappointed in: - There was an ant infestation in the bathroom and a wasp infestation outside, with wasps flying in the house whenever doors open. - general cleanliness of the place was not fantastic. Stovetop when we arrived looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned, second bathroom had a mass of dead bugs in the shower clearly not cleaned out, and layer of dust over tv unit indicating the last clean hadn’t been overly thorough. - stinking hot inside from the afternoon sun, we walked in upon arrival to a very hot house. Each day following required the blinds down all afternoon, which was very disappointing as we’d booked for the views and with blinds down couldn’t see them. - bathrooms were very basic. Small basins and limited shelf space, no amenities provided. Expectation from website was for more luxury than these, the bathrooms were what I’d expect in a hostel not a unit positioned as a luxury stay. - kitchen crockery and glassware all good, however the saucepans need replacing as surfaces were lifting on these. - the couch is very hard and uncomfortable. The living room furniture felt very basic and hard, which again was not up to expectation given price point and positioning of unit as a quality place. - no green waste bag provided, despite this being referenced in the instructions. We left on a Monday so could have used this, as it was we were stuck travelling to transfer station. - I may have missed this on the website, but we were not expecting to clean the property. The very detailed and condenscending checklist provided by Bachcare was frankly offensive, and led me to feel concerned that the reason we walked in on a less than clean property was because cleaning relies on people exiting not proper cleaners. In Covid times this is very concerning and I was extremely disappointed both in cleanliness of property that we found, and in the expectation to clean to “gold star” standards upon our exit. This expectation should be clearly stated on your advertisement. Had I known this, we would not have booked to stay here. We enjoyed and appreciated: - the view! (notwithstanding having to have blinds down in afternoon sun.) - smart tv and sound system. - location and quiet environment - tea candles (a few extra amenities like this would have been nice too eg cake of soap, shampoo) - range of serving dishes and crockery etc.
- Kelly, March 2023Thank you for your review. At Bachcare we take cleaning very seriously and have strict guidelines in place to maintain our high standards. We are sorry that in this case this was not what you experienced. We will follow up on this with our local team along with any other maintenance that may be required. Bachcare
Mark “Had everything we needed for a week's summer holiday with the kids - a really good setup and a short drive to the local beaches.”
Kitchen was well equipped, the TV and Broadband for Sky sport etc worked without a hitch. Only small suggestion that comes to mind is an area where bikes could be stored out of the weather - we had ours locked up against a footing under the house which worked fine, but was a bit tricky for the kids to get them out easily.
- Mark, December 2022Simran “Loved everything.”
4th time staying at the chalet and love it everytime. Location is amazing, so quiet and peaceful.
- Simran, December 2022Rebecca “Loved our stay here and will definitely be back!”
Wonderful facilities - very comfortable and well appointed (and dog-friendly too!)
- Rebecca, November 2022Beccy “There are some minor maintenance bits to be seen to.”
... The toilet seat is very loose. There are no scissors in the property The was an ant problem, with ants inside the house. The heater in one of the bedrooms didn't work. The sound bar wasn't able to be powered on. Otherwise very beautiful, comfortable and well equipped property. We really enjoyed our stay.
- Beccy, October 2022Thank you for your review Beccy. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay and will work on the maintenance issues you have raised. We hope to welcome you back again in the future. Bachcare
