“We were highly disappointed with the heating options, the power went out, and the shower in the main bathroom is terrible to use.”

The house is beautiful but very, very, very, very cold this time of year. There is plenty of firewood, however when we arrived on the first night, we started the fire, and after an hour and half of blasting the fire, the house was still as cold as we found it. The heater in the first room doesn’t work. We were in Hastings for an event, we had long days at the event, and it was highly disappointing returning to the accommodation as it was very very cold. We didn’t have time to spens hours and hours stoaking a fire to get the house (or even part of the house) warm. We were so cold that we checked out early, we left on Friday instead of Saturday like we paid for. Due to how cold the house was. I believe there are security camera’s (as per the website), so it will be shown there. The power went out in one half of the house on the first morning, I suspect this happened because all 3 working heaters were going at the same time, which probably tripped the fuse. I sent an email to bachcare when the power went out. After a while thankfully we located the power box and flicked the switch. You probably need to warn the next guests about this. The taps in the main shower are very difficult to get the right temperature, it takes longer to get the right temperature, than it does to take a shower. It’s quite tedious moving the tap 1 x milimetre at a time to see what temperature will come out next. It either burns your skin, or its too cold. I think we deserve a refund to be honest, or at least a partial refund
