    “An excellent stay, and even better than described!”

    Well maintained, and very tidy. Lots of sun in bedrooms, and the kitchen was spacious and well stocked with dishes, pots, salad bowls, serving platters, pans, and any other kitchen ware one might need. Would bring my own mugs next time, though; the bach ones have a terrible propensity for easily tipping! There was also an extra fridge and freezer in the laundry room. It was just a short walk from the beach (1 minute!) and to where there was a large, well maintained playground for the kids, ...

    Well maintained, and very tidy. Lots of sun in bedrooms, and the kitchen was spacious and well stocked with dishes, pots, salad bowls, serving platters, pans, and any other kitchen ware one might need. Would bring my own mugs next time, though; the bach ones have a terrible propensity for easily tipping! There was also an extra fridge and freezer in the laundry room. It was just a short walk from the beach (1 minute!) and to where there was a large, well maintained playground for the kids, picnic tables, BBQ, bathrooms, and outdoor shower. My only concern during the whole trip was the free-floating wall that followed the stairs to the downstairs room. While fairly solid, it nearly tipped a few times when our sister tried using it for support while walking up the stairs (she's not steady on her feet with stairs!). Would be better if it was held fast, but again, it never came to fully tipping for us. Overall, a lovely experience, and would definitely return. Cheers!

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

The property

For a superb holiday home with the classic character of a great Kiwi bach, only 1-minute walk from the beach, look no further than the four-bedroom, one-bathroom Key to Whangapoua. And with a breakfast bar and both indoor and outdoor dining tables, there are options galore when it comes to sharing a meal with your family and friends. Sleeping up to ten guests across its four bedrooms, Key to Whangapoua has loads of space and provides bedding configurations for any type of getaway you have planned. When you get home after a day adventuring around the Coromandel, or when you wander back off the beach put your feet up with a good book, throw on a DVD from the large selection available, or use the complimentary WiFi to keep connected and post some of your holiday pics. For the keen boaties who plan to get out on the water, there is handy boat ramp a quick 3-minute drive away that leads onto the Whangapoua harbour before hitting the ocean. Pack a picnic, slap on the sun-screen, grab the beach towel and hit the white sandy shore of Whangapoua beach less than 150m from your front door. There is a fantastic Four Square located in Coromandel town which has everything from freshly baked bread to the perfect bottle of wine, and is a quick 25-minute drive away! Whilst you are in Whangapoua you have to visit Wharf Road Cafe who make one of the best cups of coffee around. Luke's Kitchen in Kuaotunu is the closest restaurant and is renowned as a must-visit spot in the area. The gorgeous lookout at New Chums Beach is just a seven-minute drive away, and there are other little food stops, all nearby for your next summertime getaway. Adults should closely supervise young children to ensure that they do not climb the horizontal wooden slats in the rear deck barrier

As the deck barrier is below 1 metre high and is made of fixed seating, all guests should take care in this area due to the risk of falls.

All guests should take extra care if using the upper bunks on the triple bunk beds.
