Great location and overall a good house with all the comforts needed for a week. However, had a few broken things that caused some annoyance such as 1. Broken umbrella for outside. There were instructions on how to use the broken umbrella, it was just off putting so we ended up avoiding it completely but would have liked to have an umbrella where we didn’t have to worry about braking it further. 2. Roof is leaking next to bunk beds upstairs. Did not impact on our stay but not ideal when it was raining 3. One of the supplied portable fans in bedroom downstairs needs to be thrown away. It was so hot in the house that all fans needed to be going but we could not use one of them as it sounded like a plane was going to take off 4. Dryer was not working which was not ideal as had lots of beach towels we needed staying before the next day 5. Handle on dishwasher kept coming off even with the tape holding it together 6. Filter water tap is leaking and sound of drip annoyed a few of us. 7. A few Cockroaches found down stairs 8. BBQ wasn’t working well as it took an hour to heat up a few sausages. None of these would have even been mentioned or annoying if we did have a poor experience leading into our stay. I received two emails, one in December (one month before our stay) and the next a week before our stay that linen was provided, then to get an email from bachcare saying it was not and it would cost $200 to have it supplied when we had already left for our holiday put such a bed feel to our stay. Communication was terrible through the week when I was emailing bachcare to find solutions which was ignored. If I was the owner of this bach I would recommend swapping property managers and not using bachcare. If the linen issue didn’t happen, the other issues would have felt much more minor. I repeat, location and house comfort was awesome…

Lauren “The location of the house is fantastic, 250m to the beach which was fantastic.”
Comfy beds, great layout/inside outside flow, bbq, well supplied kitchen for entertaining & large washing machine with outside shower and lots of fans which were required. We did find areas of the house were in need of general maintenance which did let it down especially for the price we were paying. (Peak summer season). We had a roof leak a few nights (understand these things happen) cantilevered outside umbrella was broken (which was a shame as would have been good for sun protection) large gates to enclose our jet skis were in need of urgent repair, Freeview tv signal was awful..we just gave up in the end. Dripping taps, I know these are little things but I guess when you are paying a premium price you expect things to be in good working order. Bachcare and the property manager were good and responsive to resolving the issues of getting the gas bbq bottle filled up and towels to help us mop up the leaks.

Prashant “We did not enjoy the listing since it was left uncleaned especially with downstairs bedroom where we found several cockroaches in bedroom 1 and in toilet area.”
Secondly the Barbecue were dirty and not cleaned up so we did not use it. Thirdly towels were not so hygienically washed as complained to me by my friends. Fourthly with general rubbish green bin was kept inside a yellow recycle bin and we were not given clear instructions around what’s the role of red bin usage since it was thanks to the next door neighbour who explained us as to what type of rubbish will go in which out of three bin (green, yellow and red) alongside telling us to buy general rubbish tag etc for our general rubbish waste collection on the day we left property. Overall we find this stay below standard even though some highlights for this stay was its location been closer to the beach. We all felt that this property is overly priced property in comparison to the standard of cleanliness is expected from it with cockroaches, BBQ and towels alongside correct instructions on usage of bins for general and recycle waste. It is our sincere request to Bachcare for consideration of any fair compensation in relation to the below standard service and cleanliness as expected from the host of the property.

Jacqui “A real gem of a house for our family!”
The house is close to the beach and shops and is perfect for a family get together! We loved the porch and chairs and outdoor dining. The beds are great and the house is comfortable. The extra bunks up the top were handy and the the ensuite upstairs too was great! You couldn't really fault this lovely family home! My only addition was that we paid top dollar for the house and the sheets and towels were not supplied, something that is not a complaint, just what we would prefer as a family. If you want to stay in a warm comfortable home in a brilliant location don't hesitate to book! We loved our stay, it was the perfect holiday home! Jacqui and family

We had a maintenance issue to start with but managed to get that sorted within the first 24 hours. It’s worth noting that there is no wifi at this property. While it does say this in the listing under amenities, I missed this when booking. For some that won’t be an issue, but as we were traveling from overseas, it meant we weren’t able to stream movies for the kids as using roaming data was expansive. But a really great location and a comfortable home.

Anne “Location is excellent and the bach is wonderful.”
We had a problem with the upstairs shower not draining from the first day we arrived (which made the upstairs shower unusable). We contacted Bachcare a couple times to let them know, and they didn’t do anything about it. Zero communication, calls, follow-up, or repair done over our 10 day stay. I don’t consider this a fault of the owner as we couldn’t figure out how to get in touch with the actual owner, but more of an issue with Bachcare as the management who said on the phone that the issue would be dealt with, and then silence that followed. Our family of 5 just ended up using the one shower downstairs which wasn’t the end of the world, but it sure would have been nice to have 2 working showers since that is what we were expecting/paid for.
