Quiet end of town, 5 min walk to beach. The map location on the site when we booked wasn't correct although it worked out fine. We really enjoyed our stay, the only let down was the cleaning team. We weren't initially sure if the sleepout had been cleaned and had to make all bunk beds ourselves, bathroom wasn't quite up to standard. But all in all it was a great stay and would definitely come back.

The kids toys and nightlight were genius! Our girls loved playing with them. Also, the bed in the room opposite bathroom was so so comfortable. My only gripe was the kitchen would benefit from a few cooking cutlery updates (there were twisted and rusty tongs).

The property was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The beds were super comfortable. Bachcare were also really responsive when there was an issue with the washing machine - fixed the same day!

Really well equipped and thought out, especially for the cook! The beds were comfy and bathroom a great size. Location perfect and walking distance to everything. We look forward to our next stay here.

Great location and proximity to the shops, beach and wharf. Our two families really enjoyed our stay over the long weekend. Unfortunatey our experience with Bachcare was disappointing. Our initial Pauanui booking was cancelled as the property was sold, our booking was transferred by bachcare to this Whangamata property at our request. Upon arrival there was no linen package supplied - after 4 phone calls Friday night we were told Bachcare did not book linen when they transferred our booking (we had booked & paid for linen with initial booking) and they would get back to us which they never did. We phoned twice Saturday morning and after a couple more phone calls were told the manager sourced us a linen package. This was delivered in-complete (no towels) and was told the manager had no time to makeup the beds. None of this is the owners fault, just providing feedback on an underwhelming experience with bachcare.

Beautiful house, everything you need. Beds very comfortable and really nice bathrooms. Our kids loved playing with the toys which were there too - thanks so much for having those available.

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

Whangamata is a favourite holiday destination in the Coromandel. It has one of the best surf breaks in the area, as well as having safe enough swimming for families.
