Polly “Quiet place for a stepping stone along our holiday from top to bottom of the North Island.”
We stayed due to being close to hikes in the Tongariro national park. Unfortunately the weather wasn't that great so the studio was a little small. It's like a container with a kitchen and small bathroom added on either side of the room.

The owners have thought of everything, except the kitchen could do with some scissors. Even though Birdsong is nestled amongst houses you feel very private. It has a nice deck that you can have your meals on and listen to the birds sing, morning or night. The owners have kept Birdsong to the highest of cleanliness, and complimentary breakfast items were fantastic! The bed is one of the best beds I have slept on, extremely comfortable. We hope to stay here again someday. Thank you. Debbie and Roger from Auckland.

As the name suggests, there are many birds in the garden which create a nice atmosphere with their songs. It is located in a quiet little neighborhood a little away from Turangi and is lovingly cared for by the owners. Peter in particular was always obliging with his friendly manner and local tips. We can highly recommend this accommodation.

Beautiful tranquil setting, surrounded by trees and gardens. Tiny house is nicely laid out and very well appointed. Was great to relax on the deck and enjoy breakfast or a drink. There is a really good BBQ you can use. Location is perfect to take advantage of the river trails alongside the Turangi River. Hosts are lovely. Will definitely be back!

Appreciated the refreshments and breakfast cereal, milk, yoghurt. Well equipped and thoughtfully put together. Fantastic location for river walks, no need to drive. Good info outlining places to eat etc. Loved the shower pressure!
