The property
Experience a slice of history and tranquility at Fantail House, a character-filled villa built in the 1900s, nestled on a serene working farm in Havelock. With two expansive decks and stunning views across 308 acres of rolling valleys and wooded hills, this holiday home promises a peaceful retreat. Step outside and soak in the spa, or simply enjoy the beautiful views across the farm to the bush-covered hills of Kaiuma Bay. The outdoor space is perfect for relaxing, while the interior features an inviting living area, an open-plan dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen ideal for family meals. Fantail House offers comfortable accommodation with spacious bedrooms and modern bathrooms. The master suite boasts garden views, and all rooms are designed to provide a restful night’s sleep after a day of exploring. There is also a cozy sleepout, perfect for additional guests or some extra privacy. Both the main house and sleepout are equipped with fireplaces, and plenty of firewood is available to keep you warm and comfortable. Additional heating options include a Tevo wall heater in the kitchen and standing floor heaters in the lounge areas. Local attractions include the Nydia Bay walking track just down the road. A boat ramp in Kaiuma Bay is also available for those who bring their boat. Check out the nearby Wakamarina and Pelorus rivers, which are known for trout fishing. Further, there is the picturesque Havelock Marina where you can enjoy boat tours and waterfront dining. Hop on the Pelorus Sound water taxi to get to the beautiful Pelorus Sound, offering you opportunities for kayaking and hiking. Whichever activity you choose, you will be sure to have an adventure-filled stay. Reconnect with nature and history at Fantail House – your perfect Havelock holiday retreat!
