Caitlin “We had a wonderful time staying at this lovely little bach when we were in Napier recently for the Art Deco Festival and a friend's wedding.”
The 5 stars we have awarded the listing could be given on location alone - so convenient to the historic town centre and all of the Festival events along Marine Parade! But added details (such as the coffee machine and the lovely little china teaset in the kitchen) added to the value of the listing. As other people have mentioned in their reviews, so we were already well aware of, the garaged carpark at the back is SMALL and difficult to negotiate, so we only parked our car in it once. But ...
But this wasn't a problem, as even during the busy Festival we found parking on the street out the front of the bach every day (and it wasn't too expensive!). The only things we will comment on are that eye masks are DEFINITELY needed to sleep in both the bedrooms, as the ambient streetlights coming in through the frosted circular windows in both rooms make them very bright at night, even with the blinds down on the main windows. So bring an eye mask and you'll be ok, but otherwise sleep may be challenging! Also, there is no clothes rack to dry clothes after washing them in the washing machine, which was a little inconvenient (we had to hang our clothes on the stair rail to air dry). Other than these little notes though, we loved our time at this very comfortable, well appointed, superbly located little bach, thank you!
