“The unit was lovely and warm and we enjoyed the wood burner.”
The bed was comfy. The kitchen was equipped with the basics only but adequate. Only issue was the stove as the dials are worn and the oven starter broke when we ignited the oven. The stove was very old and didn't seem safe. this was also highlighted in a review over a year ago.

“Thank you for our lovely stay in your private cosy little bach.”
The only recommendations we can make would be the convenience of a small microwave, as most holidaymakers buy takeaways that need reheating. The TV was a hassle, some of us are technically challenged and a handrail on front steps. In winter they can be slippery. Apart from that, great view of the mountain from the bach on Saturday. Magic. Thanks again

“Perfect for our family.”
Travelled down from Auckland for North Island Junior Netball Camps. Friendly people, clear communication, highly recommended!

“Not happy about the condition of the knobs on the gas cooker.”
One knob not there, one knob that just goes round and round, printing on the knobs is worn and not clear to read.
Unable to light oven with the ignite button on the oven, and due to state of knobs unable to be sure gas was turned off after several failed attempts to light it. This was a concern for me as I have no sense of smell and couldn't tell if the gas was off or not.
Kitchen could do with a grater and a colander to make it more functional, not expensive items but would make a difference.

“Nice little house with a feel-good vibe, about 1.”
2K from the beach. Clearly recently refurbished and highly recommended. Great new bed, fridge, stove, sliding doors, couch, and washing machine.
It could do however with some extras like outdoor furniture and an umbrella for the deck with nice view, and some kitchen utensils like a bowl and such, or info like what to do with rubbish, or a little more than three flimsy cloth hangers in the bedroom.
The fact I cannot communicate with the owner (EG via email) is a big minus. Instead, the only way is to get help is to call an 0800 number. Then the next day (!) a polite guy calls back to help. Then I get called back and forth a few times while info is being relayed with the owner. In the end I spoke to a landlord but she never showed up to help us out.
Aside from that, if you ignore that piece, we really enjoyed the stay here.
