The products available were a bonus and the location was perfect. Enjoyed our stay - although it was very hot, but to be expected peak summer!

The mattresses were old and in one of the double beds it felt like a hole in the middle. In the 3 beds room the single one lacked sheets ( it only had an impermeable one). The bathroom, washing machine were old. There was a bigger variety of teas, coffee and other things (e g. apricot slices) but many were after their expiration date and we had cinnamon but no salt ( I would prefer the essentials). We loved the location and the trampoline was a total success with the kids.

The property was well maintained and comfortable. The glasses and pots/pans needed additional cleaning when we arrived but the overall house was tidy and clean. Loved having a deck on both sides so sun all day long ☀️

Idyll Thyme is exactly what our family needed for a 4 day getaway. We especially loved the fires (one indoor and one outdoor), the fact we could bring our dog along and the close walk to the beach. Bach was warm and had everything we needed. We went to Hot Water Beach (10mins drive) twice, swam and walked/played at Hahei Beach, stargazed at night and went on the Hahei Explorer. Highly recommend this trip, it's absolutely stunning and we even saw a humpback whale. Only small thing to note is that the double bed in the room with the single bed is extremely soft. But with a bit of bed hopping we found a solution as all other beds good. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we hope to be back :-)

We loved the location being close to the shops and beach. Trampoline was a bonus for our energetic 4 year old. The house and amenities are very comfortable, but not luxurious - as you'd expect (and want) for a beach bach. The dishwasher is very small, but that's nitpicking. Pro tip - if you're coming during Feb or March don't bring Avocados with you - there's a massive and very productive tree in the back yard!

It had everything that we needed, was lovely and clean on arrival, and we especially loved the private back deck/outdoor living area. The fact that we were able to bring our family dog was also an added bonus! We'd highly recommend staying at Idyll Thyme.

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

The outdoor fireplace is not for guest use
As there is a section of the deck without a barrier with a small drop on to grass, all guests should take care when using this area due to the risk of falls.
