    “This house was amazing, location to everything we needed, we have family living on the same road 5 minutes away so driving back and forth was an ease.”

    Whitianga, Whangapoua, Coromandel, are where our Family are from, so visiting was a dream. The house catered for all our needs, big enough for the family and friends to visit and entertain. The view of the Kuaotunu beach was spectacular which we went to a lot. Handy having the outdoor shower to wash the sand off the kids. The house was nice and cool during the day and warm at night.     Whitianga, Whangapoua, Coromandel, are where our Family are from, so visiting was a dream. The house catered for all our needs, big enough for the family and friends to visit and entertain. The view of the Kuaotunu beach was spectacular which we went to a lot. Handy having the outdoor shower to wash the sand off the kids. The house was nice and cool during the day and warm at night. Cool breeze throughout when the doors are open. The red umbrellas perfect when sitting in the deck. The neighbours are fantastic, we shared fish from our fishing charter (Mussel Barge Snapper Safaris) - a friend of the family, with the neighbours, and the neighbour with the boat gave us a very big crayfish - which we all loved. Luke’s kitchen just down the road. Otama Bay just passed Lukes Kitchen. We put up a rubbish collection poster in the pantry, as the collection runs on a fortnightly pickup. Recycle then normal rubbish the next. The week we stayed was recycling so we bagged all the normal rubbish and took it to Whitianga tip, price is $5.00 a bag, or by weight. We filled the ute with our rubbish and my brothers - we paid $20 - weighed on the weigh bridge. We were very lucky with the weather, rained once, over cast in the mornings then dream holiday weather after that. The family loved everything about our holiday, and an experience for my Australian grandchildren who have never been to NZ. Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

All four bedrooms have large glass sliding doors that open onto outdoor decking where you can take in the scenery and sunshine. With ample space for a boat and being situated only 500m to Kuaotunu Boat Ramp, you'll be on the water in no time. The tennis courts and a children's playground are only minutes away too, so there is plenty to appeal to all family members. You're only a short stroll to Lukes Kitchen, Kua Kawhe cafe and Kuaotunu Store or to get a Kuaotunu Killer - the biggest ice cream in NZ! Although the property has a full perimeter fence, the retaining wall is quite low, therefore this property may not be suitable for a large dog.

About the location

Just a 20 minute drive from Whitianga, Kuaotunu is a stunning beachside town with a history in gold mining. The sheltered bay makes for safe swimming off the beach, and other activities include kayaking, horse trekking and bush walks. Staying in Kuaotunu also puts you at a great position for day trips around the Coromandel, such as visiting the famous Hot Water Beach.
