“A fantastic location and enjoyable stay overall.”

A well heated property with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Just a few things needing some attention and maintenance to make it exceptional - the fire wasn't working which was disappointing (and seems to be a recurring issue based on previous reviews), 4 lightbulbs need replacing in kitchen / living area, the hand towel holder in main bathroom is loose, scratched non-stick frypans need replacing, some dirty glasses and cups. Would be great if there were some pillows that were not ...

A well heated property with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Just a few things needing some attention and maintenance to make it exceptional - the fire wasn't working which was disappointing (and seems to be a recurring issue based on previous reviews), 4 lightbulbs need replacing in kitchen / living area, the hand towel holder in main bathroom is loose, scratched non-stick frypans need replacing, some dirty glasses and cups. Would be great if there were some pillows that were not so high too. That said, we would definitely stay again :)

The place was very modern, comfy, clean and met all of our needs for a 2 night stay exploring Cardrona and surrounds. We had just finished a 5 day tramp so really appreciated the laundry and drying facilities.

“Lovely cottage, perfect location from which to enjoy some skiing action in Cardrona and explore Lake Wanaka & Queenstown areas.”

Great proximity to the Cardrona Hotel which is a fantastic spot to enjoy some apre ski mulled wine. Cottage itself was very comfortable, loved the fire to keep us warm. Only issue we had was with internet being very slow, which was fixed relatively quickly. Would benefit from increasing the internet plan given there is no other TV option so everything has to be streamed. But we would happily return next time we're planning an NZ ski trip.

“I had one issue during my stay (which was very minor and needed clarification on the directions of how tinier something).”

Called the Bach care number and was told that the property manager would get back to me. Never received a phone call or any form of communication from the property manager so glad I didn’t have a bigger issue.

“Best home away from home I have ever stayed in, everything you needed was available down to the hair straighteners, Accommodation was very clean and tidy, beds comfortable, fireplace and heating was great, was nice to sit down in front of the fire with a wine after a days skiing.”

The shared spa was a added bonus. Very close to ski field and only a 2 min walk to the Cardona pub, Can not find any faults with this property and will definitely book again. Thank you so much for making our stay wonderful.

“A beautiful and relaxing cottage for our family ski holiday to Cardrona.”

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was clean and well stocked with everything we needed for a family of four. The fireplace was lovely to sit in front of and relax after a big day on the ski slopes, although we did need to get matches to light the pilot light as it was not working properly. The kids were a little disappointed the then pool/spa was not operational, but other than this they loved their stay.

“Very well kitted out modern cottage.”

Fantastic showers and the fireplace was fantastic. loved the panel heaters throughout the ceilings. Spa pool a fantastic place to meet fellow skiers at the ens of the day. Proximity to pub and Cardrona and Treble Cone just perfect.

Open-plan living with chic, modern furnishings welcomes you when you walk in the door at this Cardrona accommodation. Carefully curated with comfort in mind, the living space offers the perfect spot to cosy up here. Enjoy the warmth and winter ambience the infrared heating panels on the ceiling. You’ll love nothing more than coming home to relax after your action filled days on the slopes, with a TV with Freeview and a DVD player and complimentary WiFi providing endless entertainment for your group. Two bedrooms comfortably sleep four guests at Cardrona Cottage, with two generous bathrooms and a full laundry with a drying rack making this the ideal spot for a small family or couples' retreat. You might even be able to fit a couple of bikes in the laundry if you're here on a mountain biking trip! When it’s time to hit the slopes, the main road turn off to the Cardrona Alpine Resort is just 3 minutes away by car, and you'll find Snow Farm NZ 30 minutes from your home away from home. Cardrona is also a fantastic summer destination, with Snow Farm NZ offering great hiking and Mt Cardrona offering and hiking trails and mountain biking tracks. You'll also find carting, quad biking, and horse trekking options in the area. If you feel like a post ski beverage, you’re just a three-minute walk from the famous Cardrona Hotel and it's only a little further to the Cardrona Distillery. You can also top up on supplies at the general store or check out the unique crafts and homewares in the village. Make your next Cardrona adventure one to remember, Cardrona Cottage awaits!

The swimming pool, hot tub and BBQ facilities at this property are shared.

This property is one of a collection of villas within the same complex where some or all of the other villas will be occupied during your stay. Guests are asked to be respectful of other residents and keep noise to a minimum.

The super king bed in bedroom 2 can be split to make two single beds. Please inform us at time of booking which configuration you require.

The loft bunk beds in bedroom 2 are not suitable for adults and guests should take extra care when children are using these.

Please note a bond may be charged at certain times of the year. One of our team members will contact you if this is required for your booking.

Please note that at the moment the fireplace at this property is not working.There is still other forms of heating that can be used.

About the location

Cardrona's history stems from the gold rush days of the 1800s, but is now famous for its world class skiing, and the original Cardrona Hotel, as featured in the Speights Ads. Horse trekking in the area affords riders some spectacular views across the region.
