Lovely to have a fire! Beds however were really basic and uncomfortable, the rubbish bags were too small for the bin, the dishwasher hadn’t been emptied. House was hard to find at night. Needs better lighting or signage on street.

Tricky to find the location at first as cant easily see the driveway and house # Bathroom heater didnt heat just blew cold air Toilet needs fixing…..wobbles when u sit on Wonderful to have all the wood for the fire Would hv been once to have the underfloor heating avail.. perhaps set on a max so it doesnt waste power cos the house was cold in the southerlies Wonderful views and close to town Many thanks Alison

However, when we moved into the rooms we found someone's undies under the bed, and a torn-up plastic bag under another bed. So the rooms although looking clean had not been cleaned correctly. The beds were just steel frame beds and quite flimsy. The rooms were cold and there were not enough heaters for all the rooms. We asked for some more and they did drop off one but really we needed at least two more to keep the house warm The house has tiled floors in the hallway, toilet and bathroom. They were freezing. It looks like there is underfloor heating but we could not turn it on. It appeared to be locked off. So although the house has a lovely fireplace it was cold. Finding the driveway to the house was a real mission, the drive has no house number and there is no way to know what driveway to go up without parking and walking around. Not much fun if it is nighttime and raining. Also, the driveway is only accessible from one direction and is really run down and unacceptable. We had to drive along that section of road 4 times before we figured it all out. Once up the driveway, you are stuck. There is no turnaround area and other clients have driven up behind the house to turn around. This is now a muddy mess and unless you have a 4-wheel drive you are stuffed. Going down the driveway if icey would be frightening. It is very steep. The biggest letdown was running out of gas, which feed not only the hot water but also our gas cooker. We tried to get hold of you using all possible methods and had no reply. We left the following day and still had not heard from you. So we left without a shower and no food. We had to go out for dinner and breakfast which we had not budgeted on. Running out of gas and finding undies under a bed is just a sign of not doing the basic things correctly. It was not a cheap house. I don't recall getting a cheaper rate based on the condition of this house and driveway. It is not that the house does not have potential but the experience we had really was of one-star stand. I hope this helps you in the future. Vicky Campbell and Martin Gulley

Your thoughtfulness was so greatly appreciated - the heaters had been turned on before we arrived so we were welcomed into a cosy home, and the fire was set, ready to be lit. Close enough for the fam to walk into town for dinner and shopping . Lovely cozy fire and well appointed kitchen. The driveway is a bit steep and bumpy, would recommend four wheel drive in winter in case of ice! If you’re staying during school hols we recommend booking dinner as all the restaurants filled up really quickly. Overall a great stay, thanks !
