Absolutely relaxing, warm and comfortable. Quiet and the spa is the icing on the cake, especially in the winter night under a bright starry night x

Christine “We really enjoyed our stay at this house which was nicely furnished, had a well-equipped kitchen, lovely mountain views and was in a convenient location.”
It was also great having easy storage for our bikes and the spa was lovely.

- Charindu, December 2022Siobhan “A great little place to stay and loved the spa!”
The bathroom fan needs looking at and the kettle doesn't stay down, but not anything major! Would definitely stay again, beautifully clean too!
- Siobhan, November 2022Jolene “Beautiful place, was nice and warm.”
However it was not very clean and lots of big cobwebs. Someone’s hair ties were laying on the floor. The toilet was not clean so we had to clean it.
- Jolene, September 2022We are delighted that you found this bach so inviting and warm. We do apologise for not having it presented to our usual high standard on your arrival. Bachcare
Melissa “Nice modern home with all the things we needed.”
Only missing the washing machine which was originally listed when booked, but I see is now removed. Close to the mountain road, shops, great coffee. Great spa pool too! It’s right opposite the train tracks so as expected when the trains come through it’s noisy and shakes the place a bit too. Very happy with the place and would book again.
- Melissa, September 2022Antonia “Our home away from home!”
We absolutely loved our stay at Alpine Place. We had everything we needed. Super cosy & warm with the electric fire. The private spa was perfect for nightly soaks after a day at the snow. As in the listing, we were close to the railway line but this wasn’t an issue. Far enough away from the busyness of town yet still in walking distance to eateries. We checked out on our last day and walked about 50 metres to the railway museum & op shop which was a fascinating place to visit. Hope to come back & stay again soon!
- Antonia, August 2022Kerryn “Fantastic location, nice and warm.”
- Kerryn, August 2022Shirleen “The place is close to amenities, coffee within walking distance, though small we have most things we needed.”
We had a good time at the place though the trains passing in the middle of the night is not very pleasant. The spa pool is great after a long day on the mountain or biking. The washing machine is missing compared to what was stated in the listing. The bathroom fan extractor needs maintenance.
- Shirleen, July 2022Geoff “Great property, and lovely stay - very poor customer service, and futile trying to get hold of Bachcare when on site.”
- Geoff, June 2022We are sorry to hear that you had difficulties contacting Bachcare to arrange linen on your arrival. Whilst we may not have been able to secure linen at short notice, we do apologise that someone didn't get back to you. We are pleased that you enjoyed the property and had a lovely stay. Bachcare
Rachel “Delicious and warm, well laid out with everything you need for a great weekend.”
Loved the spa too!
- Rachel, May 2022Brenda “Great location for the Matterhorn/Powderkeg side of Ohakune town.”
Trains cause a bit of noise but fortunately we only had them one morning of our stay. Great setup inside the Bach for 2-4 people and plenty heating and blankets to keep warm. Loved the hot tub too after a day’s activities.
- Brenda, April 2022Kaelib “Great little property.”
We’ll located to the mountain road. Volcanic coffee is situated a very short walk down the road to the Ohakune train station. Short drive back into town for too food and great service. L
