We arrived at the property after dark, so it was nice to be welcomed with the lights on outside and in the main living area. It is an older style home, but the heating (heat pump in main living room and oil heater in bunk room) was sufficient, we had very cold weather during our stay. Well equipped with a large fridge/freezer, very clean and good instructions provided. Our only suggestion would be to improve the shower, it was difficult to get the right temperature and pressure of water, it was either one or the other. Otherwise our stay was most enjoyable.

Clean and tidy with all the amenities you could need for a wonderful time in Tauranga. Although we didn't use much other the the kettle and toaster, we could have made a family meal with what is supplied. This is more comfortable than a motel, and more cost effective.

Literally every single door - the ranchslider, bedroom doors, bathroom door, fridge, shower - needed a good oil or could do with replacing. Close to Bayfair though, which was handy for the supermarket and good restaurants and just a quick drive to the beach.

Disappointing that our stay was delayed as when we arrived, no keys were left in the lockbox. Apart from that, clean comfortable property. Bachcare could be a bit more responsive to issues. Not the smoothest stay but hopefully Bachcare will take feedback inboard and respond faster. Rob

Windows, could do with a general spring clean to top off the cleanliness. Heaters available for every room as heatpump wasn't working at the time, house was quick to warm up mid winter. Good working facilities, outdoor shower to rinse off the sand too. 5min drive to the Mount, 2min drive to Bayfair. There is a nice little cafe 2blocks walk away for your morning coffee and beachwalk!! Will book again for sure

The place was clean and warm in July. It was prefect for our family of four. The beach and amenities are just a short drive away.

When we enquired, we were told the heatpump had just broken. We told them that we only have one small oil filled and one fan heater in the property, that we needed another heater for the master bedroom. The agent arrived with another heater. It would have been better this situation was communicated with us before our arrival and steps taken to ensure suitable heating. Particularly in winter. The next issue was the condensation on the window and door glass. When we raised this issue, the agent brought some towels. This is when we discovered while wiping the windows and frames how dirty they were. This was a surprise as we thought the property was quite clean otherwise. But we don't think the windows were ever cleaned. The property owner would be well advised to install a ventilation system to ensure the property is dry.

It is on the flight path however and heating wasn’t working for us. Bed is very soft springs too tired… we could not work out how to use the oven.

It was in a good location (max 10 mins from the heart of the mount), super close to a nice little beach (walking distance if you wanted), and was stocked up with items you would need but wouldn't think to bring (plastic containers, glad wrap, salt & pepper). The only downside was there weren't many channels on the tv so at night we were a bit stuck with activities. But for families with small kids or who just enjoy games, there was a nice selection of puzzles, board games, and cards.

So central to a lot of things / places only a short walk down to beach front. Reasonable quiet area no traffic at night. Great for children also. Had everything we needed and more was really really great. Will definitely stay here again and would also recommend 10 times over. Lovely warm comfortable & cosy little place.

The bach was comfortable and fresh, in easy driving reach of all the things we wanted to do, and even a few extra touches to make our few days away a really holiday treat.
