Carmel “We loved the location and the facilities available at the property.”
Overall, it was a very pleasant stay for our family. Unfortunately, the beds and pillows were too firm for our liking and although the property appeared clean on the surface, there were Daddy Long Leg spiders everywhere, and other spiders had created webs in the curtain creases. The cleaners may be letting the owners down in this regard. The beach across the road is beautiful to look at, however we could not swim at the beach due to black algae present in the water. Due to the tidal nature of the beach, we didn't mind this too much, and with so many other local swimming options, we were otherwise very happy. The property location is quiet and peaceful but allows easy access to the busy Oneroa township by foot, bike or car with public transport available a short distance away. We found the property well equipped with kitchenware. One suggestion for improvement would be the addition of a colander for washing vegetables.
- Carmel, January 2024Hi Carmel, thank you very much for your feedback. Sorry to hear about the spiders! We have checked the curtains and cannot see any evidence of this but we will be raising your concerns with the Managed Services Team so they can attend to these issues. We hope to see you again soon! Kevin “We have stayed at no6 3 times now and love the place.”
we have had family come for the day, we have had Xmas and new year there, just a delightful place. However, this time we felt the place was "a bit dirty", from the pots/dinnerware and some of the utensils to the house exterior and decks, the later clearly showed signs of the winter grime not been cleaned. that said, it won't stop us booking no6 again, it's a true gem on the island and I could not see us staying anywhere else.
- Kevin, October 2023Thank you for your review Kevin, we are sorry to hear there were issues with the cleanliness at our property. We have addressed the cleaning issues with our local team. Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback as we are always working on improving the care of our properties Bachcare
Shona “The house itself was fine and as listed, but unfortunately having the owners live on site made for a very unrelaxing weekend.”
Whats more we were woken by the lawn mowing contractor mowing the lawns at 8am on Saturday morning, which is not really acceptable for a book a bach. Lawns should be mowed during the week not while guests are staying. this was not cheap accommodation so would not expect to have lawns mowed while we are there. Then when we left the property at 10.02 (who we presume was the cleaner) was driving in as we left. Just felt very unrelaxing, and we will not be recommending this property to friends or family.
- Shona, January 2023Stephani “Exceeded expectations.”
Modern, clean, spacious facilities. Home away from home. Would love to return with my family. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful home.
- Stephani, January 2023Fernanda “Absolutely love the house, nice and clean and location was fantastic.”
Only feedback would be for a proper coffee machine, as the nearest coffee shop is within 12 min walk
- Fernanda, October 2022Karyn “This property was almost perfect for us!”
There were lovely little touches like cold water in the fridge and ice in the freezer. The view is unobstructed out across the bay and the bird song is phenomenal! The sun-soaked back deck was the perfect place for brunch, and a spa as the sun went down. The carpet seemed brand new and the lounge furniture was so comfy. You can walk over the hill to the shops so easily, and there is the most beautiful walk around the coast to the next beach. Close to bus stops too, if you need that? There was more traffic than expected as there is a ECE just down the road - not that this was a problem. One issue we had, and it won't be a problem for everyone, is that the kitchen wasn't very well stocked. My husband loves to cook and there was only 1 pan. And the BBQ also happened to be out of gas, although we could have fixed this easily if we needed. The Wifi signal was poor. Oh, and the Lockbox code I was given was 6 digits but the actual lockbox only needed 4. A little confusing but we figured it out. Regardless of the small negatives - we loved it here! Thank you for having us!
