Nally “We really enjoyed our stay at treetop retreat.”
The house is beautiful and it was a lovely quiet location. The property manager was very helpful with all of our enquiries. Only thing to note is as others have said, the driveway to the property is quite steep so a car that can handle that is advised. We rented the property for a wedding we had nearby in tantalus estate, which was a 4 minute drive away! Property only has one mirror in bathroom and none in the bedrooms, so if booking for an event where you need to get ready just bare that ...

We rented the property for a wedding we had nearby in tantalus estate, which was a 4 minute drive away! Otherwise it was a perfect little getaway and was just as described!

Moana-marie “Very comfortable and well furnished accomodation!”
My friend and I enjoyed our stay here a lot. The only caution that we had was that the driveway was very steep (we knew from the listing) but we were just scared that we wouldn’t be able to drive back up lol! Other than that we would definitely stay there again.
- Moana-marie, March 2023Samantha “We had a fabulous 2 night stay on Waiheke, at this house, we loved the bush setting and all the stairs to the top !”
! The beds were super comfy and the BBQ came in handy. Location is perfect right by the beach!! Thankyou
- Samantha, March 2023Paul “This property has a drive that goes steeply down from the road then up again to the house, it's so steep that you need to be fit to walk down and up it, plus some taxis won't drive it because it is so steep.”
One taxi eventually made it but burned a lot of rubber in the process, he wasn't happy. So if you cant get dropped at the door you have a mission getting your luggage to the house. This should be mentioned in the description. The bedrooms are so small that there is nowhere to put a large suitcase. Also with a four night stay, I would expect a washing machine (the listing said no washing machine but there is one locked in a cupboard in the hallway, why no offer this to guests?) Also there was no iron or ironing board, not ideal. The bush setting is nice and the neighbours (human and birdlife) and super friendly
- Paul, February 2023Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you had difficulties with the driveway. We can confirm that the steep driveway is mentioned in the property description as is the number of stairs to the door. We are pleased that you enjoyed the bush setting. We hope to host you again in the near future. Bachcare
Toby “Loved it! Would 100% stay here again :)”
- Toby, January 2023Lee “Great place for two couples for a short stay.”
The outside table area was perfect, and it's an easy stroll to the beach.
- Lee, December 2022Linda “We loved our time at Treetop Retreat.”
It was peaceful with bush all around, and a view across the trees to the sea in the distance. The bach was spotlessly clean and well equipped, I would definitely recommend it and would happily return. It was an easy walk from Onetangi Beach and the cafes. Very good communication from Bachcare throughout.
- Linda, October 2022Matt “Great location, had everything we needed.”
The wee deck was the perfect place to relax with a wine in the afternoon.
- Matt, February 2022Katherine “Lovely, well appointed bach.”
Feels like you are up in the trees tops, great view and heaps of native birds. Really enjoyed our stay.
- Katherine, February 2021Anna “Lovely space near beach”
