    “This property is extremely run down and needs some serious maintenance before it is listed again.”

    The only true thing about the listing description is that it has nice views from the top deck, but everything else was terrible. Upstairs: The outdoor furniture is rotten and covered in lichen and detritis - there is no way it is fit for service. The barbeque is missing a wheel and propped up on a block so it can't be moved. It also doesn't work and would be dangerous to try. Inside, there is a huge crack in the ceiling and the paint is peeling off, clearly there has been water leaking through ...

There are chipped and very stained coffee cups in the kitchen also. There is no WiFi!!!!!!!!! Also I wouldn't trust the water to be drinkable. Downstairs: The curtain linings are ripped and mouldy, there is black mould on the ceilings and walls and there are spiders EVERYWHERE! The tiny TV only has Freeview so you can't connect to it to watch anything online (and no WiFi anyway). The bathroom door has a hastily repaired crack in it and the vanity handles on the ONLY bathroom are rusting. General: The house must be 100m vertically from the road, up a steep set of steps and paths. If you are not a triathlete you will struggle to get your loaded bags up the hill. the owner's car is inconveniently parked in the only parking space and totally blocks the driveway - you will have to park on the road. Overall this place is overpriced and run into the ground. We did get a partial refund from Bachcare (we left after only one night) after about 4 hours of phone calls, and the property managers (when we finally saw them) were lovely, it's clearly the owners who are the issue. We do not recommended this place at all.

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

Kick back on the outdoor sofas with your morning coffee and soak up the scenery! Two outdoor living spaces lend themselves well to alfresco summers, with a deck off each level with a BBQ, dining table (giving the children somewhere different if desired) and outdoor sofas where your group can gather and plan the next day's adventure. The modern kitchen includes a small breakfast bar area for lazy holiday brunches, while the separate TV room downstairs offers just the spot for a movie night. Each of the bedrooms is comfortably furnished, with sea views and deck access from the master bedroom - perfect for breakfast in bed, or simply hunker down with a good book! When you are not admiring the view there is plenty to see and do nearby. You are just moments from Palm Beach with safe swimming, plus a playground and BBQ. It's just a 5-minute walk to the local dairy and the Arcadia cafe/restaurant, a 5-minute drive to the markets at Ostend, and another couple of minutes to wineries at Stoneyridge/Te Motu. In the other direction, you can visit Oneroa Beach and the village with its selection of cafes and restaurants. Welcome to stunning scenery, a sweet location, and modern beach vibes at Palm Vista!

Please be advised there are quite a few stairs leading to the house and therefore not suitable for guests with limited mobility.

Please note that there will be a car parked in the driveway so will limit off-street parking to a small car. The parked car is not for guest use.

About the location

Taking it's name from the palm trees outlining one side of the beach, Palm Beach is located on the Western side of Waiheke Island, not far from Oneroa. It's white sands and safe swimming make it a popular place to stay on the Island. From here you are within a short drive from some of Waiheke's top wineries such as Cable Bay and Mudbrick. All of our Palm Beach holiday homes are pre-inspected prior to your arrival and are ready for instant online booking.
