Barbara “Very disappointed when driving up.”
Front of property very old and shabby. Bunk bedroom very small - no room for bags. Had to store 3x lots of bags in lounge. Wardrobe in main b/room locked. Couch very hard to sit on. Draconian cleaning instructions especially seeing oven was dirty inside and cleaning fee was charged (we left property clean) even vacuuming. Outside area however was fantastic and superb views. Outdoor furniture very comfortable.

Erin “Amazing location!”
Loved being able to walk easily to beach that was patrolled. House cleanliness was a major problem. We found half eaten biscuits, toothpicks, rubbish in lounge areas. Kitchen had dirty wet cloth marks over somethings and then draws and cupboards etc were filthy. Bathroom shelf in shower was caked w soap scum. For what you pay for cleaning we were shocked at the state of the place. The sheets and towels were clean but I’d guess they are bought in from another company as duvet cover on main bed was from 20 years ago I would guess. The washing machine caked our clothes in black grease until I cleaned out the seals which were filthy w sludge.’ I hope next guests don’t find it as dirty or I’d be getting a new cleaner. Overpriced for state we received house in. Great location but very basic house w cleanliness issues presently.

Was so good being so close to the beach and with a lifeguard tower right there. House was comfortable, loved the conservatory with the outdoor furnature. Would definitely recommend.

It was warm n cosy with the heat pump for our winter stay. It was nice and clean. The view was lovely, even on those stormy days, it's always nice to see the sea, and it has great access to the beach. It's on a reasonably busy road but you have all that grass area and beach in front of you, flanked by houses on either side. Close by is shops and cafes. The couch really belongs in a waiting room. :) sorry, but not a comfy/holiday relaxing couch. It could've done with a plunger for those of us who don't like to use coffee capsules for the sake of the environment. Also the bunk room could use a bedside lamp. Other than that it was lovely. Thank you

Lacreice “We loved the location of this place, incredibly close to the beach, to shops and facilities and was so easy to find.”
Instructions and access were excellent and easy to follow The owners have taken care to provide extras to make ones stay a good experience. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash etc... Our young daughter really appreciated the night light in the bathroom. Basic condiments provided and plenty of cooking tools. The beds were really comfortable! Everything was really clean and it is clear that things are well cared for. Apart from the bean bag, we found the lounge furniture not so comfortable so we spent most of our time using the patio furniture. We used the HDMI cable provided and our laptop to watch movies and such which worked out fine. Possible suggestions: An outside hose to wash off would be great, a washing machine, wifi access.

Hanna “Amazing beachfront spot.”
Heaps of room for the kids to run and play and still within watching distance. Loved walking down to the beach in the morning with our coffee. Bed were all comfortable. Everything you need in the kitchen. If staying longer than 2 night then a laundry would be ideal but not an issue for a short stay like ours. Thanks alot!

House was good as described but the couch is absolutely terrible , sweaty vinal and uncomfortable , would not rent again just because of that, the tv has a big black blob on the bottom centre of the screen, when you are paying this much you expect a reasonable tv and couch

Janet “The property was great - fabulous location, enough space, very adequate for our needs.”
I was disappointed that Bachcare did not get back to me on me enquiry regarding the possibility of our mature labrador joining us. While I fully appreciate the property is 'not pet friendly' and is not fenced, I could see that there was a deck and I knew that would be adequate for our dog who would happily have stayed outside on the deck. I called Bachcare to enquire about a possible exception, and after some discussion they agreed to check and get back to me either way. I never heard back, and we were disappointed to see that the deck would indeed have been perfect and we would not have allowed the dog inside. It may not have been ok with the owners, but I was very disappointed that BAchcare did not get back to me either way - I wonder whether they even bothered to contact the owners??? Not good service.

Linen
Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

Fry up a big breakfast on the BBQ and in the fully equipped kitchen, then gather in the conservatory around the spacious dining table to fuel up before heading to the beach for the day. Once back at home, retreat to the vibrant open-plan living space that includes a Smart TV with Freeview, a variety of board games and efficient heat-pump technology to stay just at the right temperature, no matter the season! You’re sure to get a good night’s sleep in one of the two bedrooms here at Milly Cove, with the master featuring a queen-size bed and a bunk room. There is also a sofa bed in the living room, plus a laundry and extra toilet downstairs. A great hub for a family-friendly stay or couples' escape! You’re only a short walk through Taylor Reserve to the stunning Papamoa Beach. From here, spend the day in the water, or lounging on the sandy shores. If you're keen to check out the neighbouring town's beaches, eateries and shops, central Mount Maunganui is only a 17-minute drive away. Closer to home, Fashion Island and Papamoa Plaza are only a six-minute drive away! A great getaway for the whole family, make your way to Milly Cove!
Adults should closely supervise young children to ensure that they do not climb the horizontal wooden slats in the external stair barrier.
Guests should bring their own Nespresso compatible pods to make use of the available machine.
