“Hi there, staying at Gold'n Thames was perfect for my husband and I as we were attending a family bereavement, and wanted somewhere quiet and peaceful to stay.”

The setting was perfect, tucked down a quiet side street, one block away from the main street in the Grahamstown end of Thames. It was in easy walking distance into town, for shopping or restaurants, and the back entrance to the Melbourne Cafe just down the road. It was also walking distance to attending our dear Mum's funeral service. If you want somewhere nice and private to stay, but handy to everything in Thames, we highly recommend staying here. About the location

The gateway to the peninsula was once a gold mining town, and relics of the era still remain today, many of the oldest homes in the district are found here. The Thames coast boasts one of the most scenic stretches of road in the country, and is truly spectacular in early summer with its explosion of red pohutukawa flowers along the road. Holiday homes along the coastline enjoy uninterrupted views of the Hauraki Gulf.
