John “Beautiful location, very peaceful.”
Ideal house for a great holiday or get away. We will definitely come back again.

Wendy “There was a real absence of any welcome in the house.”
There was no welcome book, no tourist info brochures, no info on the house, such as what recycling to do, when the bins go out, No WIFI code, we had to ring the agent to find out what it was (they were super helpfull) The whole house could do with a deep deep clean, the removable covers on the sofas are pretty disgusting, I hate to think what it's like beneath them. Also, it's the 21st century, and guests tend to expect better facilities than a portable 14" CRT TV from 1990 fixed to the wall in the bedroom, and a TV in the lounge where you have to swap the HDMI cable between the digital set-top box and DVD player if you want to watch something other than the 1 TV channel that we could find. The "well stocked" library is also a throwback to the 1970's/80's. The view from the deck is nice.
- Wendy, December 2023Thank you very much for your feedback we are glad you enjoyed the view from the deck. We appreciate you taking the time to provide us insight into what was disappointing with your stay so that we can improve. We find that all guests have different preferences, including some who enjoy a sense of nostalgia and a break from modern life. We hope to host you at another one of our properties. Bachcare
Liza “Whilst the bach was well appointed, having no hot water on the first night and finding plates and cutlery with food on them in the cupboard and drawers really spoiled the mood.”
If the unit gets a good deep clean, I would happily recommend it.
- Liza, November 2023Thank you for your review. We sincerely apologise for the issues around electricity at Bay Vista Views during your stay but we are glad we were able to remedy these so you could enjoy your stay. The electrician attended the premises as promptly as possible to remedy the isolator switch. We hope you are happy with the actions taken to make up for the issues experienced. Bachcare
Britta “How would you enjoy your stay after finding a LIVE COCKROACH in the fridge?”
On arrival, the key to the house was missing from the key box, after contacting Bachcare the property manager came, opened up the house and made our beds. There were a total of 2 teabags and a few sheets of toilet paper, no soap, no dishwasher powder, and one dinner plate, you get the idea. The shower had very low water pressure, and a blocked drain overflowed outside when we use water. Strange setup with a shared deck and an apartment adjacent to the house, there was no privacy. Yes, the view out to the bay was lovely and we enjoyed our time on the deck. Needless to say, there was no effort made to make us feel comfortable or welcomed, and we left very disappointed.
- Britta, March 2023Hi Britta, thank you for providing feedback on your recent stay, and glad to hear you enjoyed the views and wonderful deck. We were sorry to hear about the refrigerator. We have spoken to the owner, who annually sprays for flies, roaches, spiders, and they have never had a similar experience. As you can appreciate, however, the property is near the coast and surrounded by bush, so there are insects about, though we do our best to minimize them. We also alerted the local property manager to your concerns about the water pressure and low supply of essentials, so thank you for bringing those too to our attention. Bachcare
Paul “This property is all about the views, just amazing.”
The house itself is comfortable and tidy. It is attached to another dwelling, so you share a driveway and laundry with an elderly couple next door. It is a Lockwood (timber) home and the timber creaks a lot.
- Paul, February 2023Hi Paul, thank you for your review on the property. We're so happy you enjoyed your stay. Those views certainly are wonderful! Looking forward to hosting you again. Bachcare
