    “Lovely bach will plenty of windows to open up to let in the seabreeze.”

    And if that fails the house is fitted with 2 heat pumps / airconditioners to keep the place cool. The private backyard courtyard is nice but would be even better with an outdoor lounge type seating. Overall we loved the place.

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

Just a 20-minute stroll from the beach, this classic Kiwi bach has everything you need! Welcome to Our Kiwi Whanga Bach! Kick back after a long day's surfing on the comfortable sofas or cook up a storm on the BBQ in the fully fenced well-lit outdoor area. A modern open-plan kitchen/dining space offers everything that you need, including an electric frying pan and even a toastie maker. The kitchen opens up onto a semi-covered deck, making it perfect for an alfresco breakfast, lunch or dinner in the sunshine. The section leaves plenty of room to park your small or medium sized boat, and a dedicated fishing bench is perfect for preparing your catch ready for a family BBQ. On colder evenings, curl up with a good book, or watch all your favourites from your own device via the available Chromecast! If you don't fancy cooking, take a 10-minute walk to the main hub of Whangamata where you can choose from a variety of cafes, bars and restaurants. Enjoy sunny days on Whangamata's spectacular beach, or if you're feeling adventurous, book a kayaking tour to the famous Donut Island! Take the kids for a causal fish at the wharf, walk up the beautiful Wentworth valley or have a fun game of family mini golf in town. Close to the local shops, skate park, supermarket and golf course, Our Kiwi Whanga Bach has it all!

All guests should take extra care on the deck as there is no barrier to prevent falls.

As this property has unfenced access to the Wentworth River via an adjacent vacant section, adults should closely supervise young children while outside to ensure they are safe around water.

Please note that a classic beach hop caravan is parked on site and is only for the property owner's private use. Guests can still park their cars/boats on site.

About the location

Whangamata is a favourite holiday destination in the Coromandel. It has one of the best surf breaks in the area, as well as having safe enough swimming for families. Behind the well-equipped town is a large forest park, with walking tracks and biking trails through lush native forest.
