Ian “2nd time we've stayed here.”
Good location-except for the slightly scary driveway! Good facilities. Very small kitchen bench but doable. Had everything we needed, beautiful views & sunny. Great laundry facilities.

Carol “We enjoyed our stay.”
The house was warm, cosy and felt friendly. The views were amazing. It was very clean.
- Carol, August 2023Aaron “What a lovely home!”
Unbeatable views in a rustic Kiwi setting. Very handy to Paekakariki Railway Station. Small but very functional kitchen and amazing shower pressure. As always - if you are fussy about pillows then bring your own. The driveway is a bit of a challenge for larger cars but we managed it without incident. A little slice of paradise on the Kapiti coast!
- Aaron, June 2023Catherine “This is a Bach with a world class view of the ocean and unpretentious Bach vibes - was personally impressed by the book collection and the shower!”
Kitchen is very small but family liked the Bach it alot and it felt confortable and cosy
- Catherine, January 2023Kate “Beautiful views and a lovely deck perfect for soaking them up.”
Easy access to beach, shops and cafes. We had a lovely stay here.
- Kate, January 2023Rachel “The driveway is a bit treacherous and not very well lit at night so have a torch if you’re going to walk up it.”
The house was clean but could offer more comfortable seating. The sofa and one armchair are quite tired and uncomfortable. The kitchen is useable but very small. The beds were comfortable. I think this place would be better in the summer.
- Rachel, June 2022Thank you for taking the time to provide a review of your stay and we value your suggestions. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay in this comfortable and meticulously clean bach. Bachcare
justine “Great place for a get away, stunning views, great decks which gives a fab indoor out door flow,”
- justine, June 2022Nga “We had an amazing time at this property, it was spacious, had all the amenties we needed and of course the most amazing view The place was really clean and tidy and had quirky things available to enjoy, eg books, games, craft stuff etc The kitchen was small and not that functional at the beginning but we found a way to make it work.”
Overall a gorgeous home and we had a great time
- Nga, April 2022Ann “Lovely spot but gardens/lawns overgrown and has no fire alarms (I suspect because oven hob has no extractor fan) Bachcare left us standing outside the property for over an hour as we could not get hold of them and had no email instructing entry to property etc.”
- Ann, January 2022Kirsten “Super comfy place, has everything for your convenience (cooking, laundry, etc) and the most stunning views to wake up to every day — it never got old.”
We enjoyed our stay immensely!
- Kirsten, December 2021Jon “Basic but nice.”
Great view of coast and Kapiti island
- Jon, December 2021Jodie “Lovely views from a character bach, much enjoyed, thanks”
- Jodie, December 2021Catrina “Quirky, old style kiwi bach.”
Fantastic outlook but tight drive to get there. Would be greatly enhanced by outdoor furniture & bbq.
- Catrina, November 2021Jo “Loved staying here.”
We were surprised at how fantastic the views were. Loved sitting on the deck enjoying a glass of wine watching the sunset. Perfect.
- Jo, September 2021Selina “We were unorganised with our short notice trip to Wellington trip, but were able to book this beautiful home a day prior to our arrival.”
As many know, Wellington can be very cold in the winter, so we were extremely grateful for the house being all warm and toasty when we arrived, thanks to the heaters already being switched on for us. The house is also alot more spacious than we were expecting and the views are wonderful. Thank you to the owner for allowing us to stay in your lovely home and Bachcare for organising everything for us, so we had zero stress. 10/10 as per usual x
- Selina, July 2021Augustus “Amazing family getaway bach overlooking the beach!”
Beautiful spot for the sunset while reading a book, plenty of space for the family to stay and play. Loved how close it was to the beach and the shops just down the road, perfect timing for the market on Sunday! Loved the place, absolutely fantastic!
- Augustus, April 2021Justin “This holiday home is in a great position with sea views and has a large deck to enjoy the outdoors.”
It is warm and comfortable and within a few minutes walk to the beach and shops.
