The Bach was tidy and well appointed. The kitchen had a good range of utensils that made self catering fairly easy. The beach is a quick hop and a skip away, which made for several swims through the day and easy clean off with the out door shower. The deck is massive. The only thing that could be improved is some outdoor loungers so that we could lay around in the sun and read a book. We would definitely love to come back next summer. Thank you for hosting us.

The house was fully equip with everything necessary to have a relaxing stay. The neighbours were friendly, and the location was sublime (minutes from the beach and a short walk for ice creams). We were a group of couples in our late 20's/early 30's and the house was perfectly set up for a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone!

I have spoken to your customer service team and sent multiple emails with no satisfactory response Being kept awake by the neighbouring property until 3:30am on the Friday is one thing, They then started being very noisey at 10am on the Saturday and then had approx 20 people turn up. When I saw they were planning a party I called your 0800 and was assured something would be done. I then had to call back 2 hours later.when more people had arrived Your T&Cs clearly state no additional people should use the amenities and they should not have any parties. It also states all guests should show respect for neighbours. None of this happened. I was in tears all day on Saturday and had to go to a hotel to get a good nights sleep Your completely disregard for my email correspondence has been incredibly upsetting. I wish I had read other reviews prior to booking with you. I would highly recommend the property owner use another organisation. I would like confirmation that the neighbouring guests will be blacklisted from using your site so nobody else has to experience this??? I will not be using your service ever again. I had saved and planned for this special weekend to over a year and I am devastated that it was ruined

Normally we would encourge the guest to call us and lodge a complaint if there was a party going on so we would be able to rectify the situation. Now that we know this has happened if it is a Bachcare paying guest we will flag this against their account if it was a Owner paid booking we will flag it against their account. house is clean and tidy with a great deck to enjoy a few drinks. down a cul de sac so safe for the kids to ride there bikes while the parents relax.

Such a short distance to the beach and a lovely walk over the sand dunes to the beach. A bit of building work going on around it but as of Jan -nothing that interferred with the enjoyment of the house. Thanks for sharing :-)

The property had everything we needed functionally and was perfectly situated, less than a 2 minute walk to the beach, but also set back off the road for added privacy. The rooms in the house are nicely broken up which meant our group could retreat for moments of peace. The deck and outdoor shower were well used. Amazing trip, thank you!

But there is no internal access between levels 1 & 2 so if it's raining you'll get wet. Level 1 has a sink, washing machine and fridge but no kettle so if you want early morning tea/coffee take your own. Biggest problem for the near future is the amount of building work taking place directly in front of and to the side of the house. One is half built and the other just started groundwork so bleeping diggers all the first day. In addition the plot of land immediately in front has been sold and will inevitably be developed at some point. All of which means that you cannot enjoy the large deck and view to the sea in peace and quiet.

A lovely, clean space for us all to enjoy. Loved the deck and the hot, outdoor shower. The quails and rabbit visitors were a source of delight and amusement.

And if it's a winter stay you're planning, sit back, relax, and enjoy a movie snuggled up in the warm and bright lounge. There are board games to play and the deck is still a great place to relax on a sunny day. With Matapouri Bay a short walk away, you'll be sure to be spending as much time as possible by the beach. There is no internal access between levels. Access to the second level is by external uncovered stairs only.

Please note there are 3 security cameras on the property. There is one over the main entrance at the top of the stairs; the second covers the downstairs main entrance, & the third covers the 2 downstairs sliding doors. A 10-minute drive from Tutukaka or a 2 hour 25 minute drive from Auckland and you'll find yourself in the marine paradise that is Matapouri. Matapouri is one of those idyllic spots, where every corner you turn you'll find yourself in awe as you stumble upon another azure blue cove lined with Pohutukawa or golden dunes. There's much to explore with Whale Bay nearby being accessed via a 15 minute bush walk, and of course the legendary mermaid pools a large natural set of rock pools set against the ocean perfect for swimming in at low tide.
