...we had a really good time and the property was awesome. It was well equipped and had everything we needed, beds were comfy and facilities were great. The board games came in handy during long afternoons of rain too! The only thing I would liked to have been aware of beforehand was the fact the property is on a main road. There is only parking on site for 3 cars (which was fine for us) but backing out of the property can be a bit tricky. All in all - highly recommended however!

Only 6 min drive to paihia. Close to lots of beaches. Bach was very comfortable with all the kitchen things you need. Good laundry facilities. Lovely outdoor area. 3 seperate decks. Big garage. 2 fridges. Perfect kiwi Bach. Walking distance to a dairy and cafe but otherwise not a lot to do in the area. Easy to drive though. Thanks so much for a great holiday.

The deck is great to sit out and have a wine and fish and chips from down the road. Nice to have lots of bathroom options, good kitchen to cook in and the rooms are lovely. Parking very good also.

Paihia is a short drive which is great. Home has all you need. Would definitely keep this place in mind for next trip to Opua.

Stunning views from the deck to the harbour which was bathed in morning sun whilst the back deck enjoyed evening sun. Everything you could wish for was available at the house which felt like home from home. Lovely decor and spacious enough to invite guests for dinner too. We will definitely book again with Bachcare - so simple and great value for money. Thanks for helping make our stay really magical.

Our two families with small children had a great time. Lots of space for everyone and a brilliant location with amazing views.

Inadequate blinds upstairs but reasonable accommodation considering price point. Very comfortable beds and excellent kitchen facilities. Small ground floor bathroom facility with shower over bath tub to service 4 adults with maybe 2 children. Upstairs bedroom has excellent en suite facility.

The property
Blue Peter is a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom Opua holiday home in The Bay of Islands. This modern and sunny holiday home is spacious and relaxed, with easy outdoor living, Wi-Fi, Chromecast and gorgeous views! This 3 level Opua holiday home includes well appointed open plan living on the middle level. The kitchen and dining area lead onto a private deck, or set yourself up on the front patio for dining alfresco with sea views! Bedroom 1 at this Opua accommodation is located upstairs, and enjoys plenty of space and privacy. Fitted with a king bed, this bedroom includes an ensuite bathroom, a cosy living area, a kitchenette, plus its own deck access for soaking up the sun and views. Bedrooms 2 and 3 each have a queen bed, and are situated on the middle level, along with the family bathroom. Bedroom 4 is situated on the lower level and is fitted with 2 single beds, plus has its own toilet and washing basin. This is a fantastic set up for a family or 3 couples to escape to The Bay of Islands... explore everything on offer in the region or simply put your feet up, unwind, and take in the view! You are only 15 minutes by ferry to Russell and 7 minutes to Paihia. Make your way to Opua and relax at Blue Peter!
