- Shona, January 2024Rebecca “The accommodation was Fabulous.”
Tidy, clean, spacious and amenities available along with pool table, table tennis table, kayaking. The scenery was amazing. My only downside was the driveway. Unfortunately I had a trailer and was scared driving down steep, narrow, gravel driveway. On our arrival we meet the owners manager whom greeted us warmly and made our stay comfortable. We Whānau were very delighted with our accommodation. Cheers
- Rebecca, December 2023Arthur “Great little spot.”
Really enjoyed our stay. Superb for pet
- Arthur, April 2023Michelle “We have been many times to Plum house so we know what to expect!”
Everything was great as usual. Nice to have basic supplies provided if needed even though we bring everything with us. Only feedback I’d like to provide was rooms upstairs a little dusty, I gave them a wipe down on arrival so was all good after that! What I think would be a good improvement would be a bigger fridge. I couldn’t fit everything in that I bought from home for our 4 night stay.. Loved the bath, loved the view, loved the beach, loved listening to all the bird life morning and night! Can’t wait to come back.
- Michelle, January 2023Hayden “Great property, location and facilities.”
- Hayden, December 2022Vanessa “This was one of the best Bach stays.”
Had everything we needed and so much more. Best location we were very sorry to leave would have loved to stay a few more days. And we got to take our furry friend with, he hates water and now is a swimming dog that is how amazing this place is. We regretfully packed In your salt and pepper shakers thought it was ours when we got home we had two sets! Please let’s us know how much so we can refund you. Definitely will be back
- Vanessa, December 2022Alexander “Absolutely stunning spot!”
! Beautiful homes, amazing facilities and the kayaks were such a neat touch. Also loved that it's dog friendly - even though we didn't bring ours, was lovely to see others there. One tiny thing was check-in was a little unclear and our booking confirmation was for a different room to the room we were assigned. For guests arriving late (like us!) it would be helpful to get an email prior as we didn't see the check-in board until the next morning.
- Alexander, November 2022MARTYN “Beautiful peaceful place to stay good facilities highly recommended”
- MARTYN, April 2022Katie “Fabulous location - so peaceful, safe for kids and dogs to roam free.”
We loved the lack of wi-fi, really helped us to switch off more and relax.
- Katie, April 2022Munro “We had a fantastic time.”
It’s very peaceful n quiet. We wasted hours just looking the view and watching the tide come in n out. At night you could here the kiwi n weka and many other birds during day. U are not far frm Russell and beautiful beaches and views. Was a very comfortable stay with great comfy bed etc. the owner is lovely and everyone was very friendly. Would definitely recommend and stay again. We are so spoilt in NZ
- Munro, February 2022Jeff “Please don't go here.”
I want this place to stay a hidden gem
- Jeff, February 2022Sally “We really enjoyed our stay over Christmas at the Plum House.”
It's really well stocked with everything you need, and such a gem of a location (the winery close by helps as well!). The bay is great for swimming at the right tide, and the deck was a great place to watch the world go by. Love that the property is dog friendly - while we didn't have a dog we got some great dog watching in. Thanks again for the Christmas tree - such a nice touch!
- Sally, December 2021Mike “Great little secluded spot.”
Private beach, with fish jumping just 5 m off shore. Lots of bird song, including fan tails that were very friendly. Dog friendly. Comfortable beds. Good heating set up given it is an A frame and could be cold without the heat pump. No internet, not that this worried us, but caused the kids s bit of temporary dismay - they got over it though. Recommended. We'll certainly be back.
- Mike, April 2021Darrin & Helen “Wonderful stay, family / pet friendly.”
- Darrin & Helen, January 2020Kate “The plum house was perfect for our needs.”
The beautiful green space and beach were great for our kids to run around and play and the trampoline, kayaks, boat, and games made hanging around the property really fun. The house was basic but had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay, and the property manager and owner were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend this place for a family or multi-family holiday.
