    “Very beautiful setting.”

    Loved hearing the kiwi at night and waking up to a waters view. The place isnt anything fancy as you would expect from the era it was built but we were ok with that. We did find that it wasn't very clean particularly in the bathroom. I think it may have been shut up for awhile. There are a few things that would of been handy to have particularly in the kitchen like a scrubbing brush. I do think it should be noted that the onsite/owner lives directly next door to the house. We did feel uncomfortable with this and felt we had to be really quiet - she was lovely but didnt feel like you had privacy the same as a standalone building. We also found bachcare disappointing to deal with.

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

The property

The Point House is a 2 bedroom holiday home unit. Located in Russell’s Wairoro Park, both you and your pets are welcome to enjoy the large native grounds and private beach. This is an ideal option for a peaceful getaway to the stunning Bay of Islands. This unique multilevel A-Frame unit offers comfortable family accommodation with 2 bedrooms upstairs one with a king bed and one with 2 singles. And downstairs, open plan kitchen, dinning, lounge with a fold out sofa, full kitchen (no dishwasher) and full bathroom, a covered deck, BBQ and outdoor furniture. Spend days at the private beach onsite. Set yourself up at the picnic table or enjoy the complimentary Kayaks and paddle board. Be sure to keep watch for Kiwi and Weka living in the surrounding native bush. The Point House also has a large rural property with facilities shared between guests accommodation. The Russell to Okiato walk crosses the rear of the property and offers spectacular ocean views. If you’re coming across from the Opua ferry, this tranquil holiday park is situated just 2km away. Head over to Russell for the day, just 7 minutes drive and while your there jump on the ferry to Paihia. For a piece of New Zealand, Waitangi is less than 5 minutes from Paihia. Be sure to bring your furry friend along on holiday to relax at The Point House - Wairoro Park with you. The perfect location for your next escape.

Please note that there is a 1.5 km gravel driveway into Wairoro Park, with a max speed limit of 30km/hr.

As the internal stairs only have one barrier, all guests should use the handrail provided and children should always be supervised when on and around these stairs to prevent potential falls.

Please note the washing machine at this property is part of an external shared laundry.
