Comfortable beds and all you need for a wondeful holiday. Walk across the road to the most beautiful beach, secluded and so peaceful. Missing the sound of the waves….. totally recommend this bach.

Judy “Great location.”
So close to beach and a short walk to the ferry. Clean and spacious accommodation. A real bonus was the dish washer. Awesome views and everything was there that we needed.

The property was at the perfect location, just a short walk to the ferry landing and the famous Shakespear lookout but the icing on the cake was the view from the 2 front rooms looking out to sea, that was breathtaking. The house itself was massive and the kids enjoyed their own space. The house had a table tennis game downstairs in the garage that kept the kids occupied during our stay. We will definitely be back and hope to stay little bit longer.....Thank you Bachcare for a wonderful and memorable experience..

The home is a little older than some but it’s a quintessential kiwi Bach! It was great for 2 families to share and we loved being able to walk across the road to the beach. We love to visit Cooks Beach and this was our first time to stay on the ferry landing end. We really liked the quick walk to the ferry. I would recommend the house. However, I would ask Bachcare for a different manager as we found her to be extremely unprofessional and offensive.

E. it is an oldie but a goodie. The mod cons were where they were needed, i.e in the kitchen and living room. There was NO wifi which was fantastic!! no technology for the length of our stay ...bliss. It was clean and tidy and perfect for a family holiday. We had grandies of 6yrs & 3yrs - there was plenty of room for them at the back of the bach and the beach was just over the road. The road was a bit of a concern with the 3yr old but not unmanageable. The view from upstairs is glorious - such a magic spot. Many thanks to the owners for sharing this small piece of paradise with us. We will return.

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.
The property
The Retreat is a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom Front Beach Bach. Nestled in one of the Coromandel's most idyllic bays, this two-story bach is just a minutes walk from the gorgeous beach! This Front Beach bach includes an open plan kitchen and living area with views to the native bush surrounds. From the 2 master bedrooms and the living area you have an unobstructed view of many islands that dot the bay! Bedrooms 1 and 2 at this Front Beach accommodation are fitted with a queen bed each, bedroom 3 is fitted with 2 single beds, and bedroom 4 is fitted with 2 single beds plus a single bunk set. All the basics are on hand for a peaceful and fuss free Coromandel getaway... For a casual and carefree stay, The Retreat awaits!
Boat mooring is available for boats up to 11 metres on request only. 2 Adult life jackets available.
