- James, April 2023Murray “1. I emailed in advance to make sure there will be kindling and an axe as there is going to be a cold snap and there are no heaters in the home.”
Bachcare replied saying there always is kindling and an axe. I replied that wasn't the case last time, so I just wanted to ensure we would be warm this time. On arrival, freezing cold, no kindling or axe. Emailed Bachcare again, no reply. Had to buy kindling the next day. 2. On arrival, the gas bottle for the kitchen hob was empty, as was the lighter. Emailed Bachcare asking to sort. Never heard back. Luckily there was a gas bottle attached to the BBQ we used and we found some matches. 3. Bedside lightbulbs blown as was the rangehood lights. I asked these to be fixed last visit. Still not done. Emailed Bachcare, no reply. 4. Urgent! Nearly had a fire as the electrical switch for the dishwasher started flashing, arching, smoking and shorting out. Turned the power off and switched the dishwasher and waste master off (same switch). Luckily we were not sleeping and were still up as there would have been a fire. Rang Bachcare, went to answerphone so left a message and emailed for an electrician to urgently fix. No reply from Bachcare. Have left a note on switch alerting next guests of the danger. Hand washed dishes and didn't us the waste master. 5. Got a frying pan out to use and noticed it was caked in old food.

Lots of space. Handy location with 5min walk to town or the beach.

Although there was only 5 of us (4 adults and 1 kid), it would easily accomodate 4 adults and 4 kids comfortably. 3-4 minutes walk to the beach and 2 minute bike ride to the shops. Would definitely stay here again.
