It's very much a classic kiwi Bach style as opposed to a 'holiday home'. It's rustic and a little rough around the edges but is charming, the location is epic and in many ways this is a beautiful place for Family and friends to stay for a few days or for a longer stay too. There's Room for adults and kids alike. There are beach toys aplenty and the 2 lounges make it great for families where the kids can watch TV etc in the upper room and others can socialise in the main lounge (with a cosy fireplace if it gets chilly). It's got a big deck looking out to the sea and the beach is literally right there at the edge of the lawn. An outside shower & downstairs bathroom/laundry are perfect for coming in after a dip in the sea and washing off sand and salt without dragging it through the house. Upstairs bathroom is rustic but fully functional. The kitchen is a little tight spacewise but everything works well and there's room for everything you need (love the retro cupboard doors). Flat White cafe 2 doors down is great when you runout of cooking mojo or just want someone else to make you a kick ass coffee to get the morning started with. If you are looking for fancy/flashy you'll be disappointed. If you are looking for a wholesome, charming, classic bach experience then this one is hard to beat. We really enjoyed our time here with extended whanau and hope to come back again sometime.

The property is tired but typical of its age and presented neatly enough. The layout was great for us to have a family space with another couple in a separate area. The bach is well stocked with plenty for the kids to do. Our property manager was friendly and easy to deal with. We'll be back :)

The property
Carmen's Beachside Bach is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom Waihi Beach bach. Located along the white sands of Waihi Beach in the Bay of Plenty, this is a popular location for beach goers who love sunshine and surf all summer long. The positioning of the bach could not get any better, with the beach just a few steps away! This Waihi Beach bach features Wi-Fi, double bedrooms and 2 living areas to ensure everyone enjoys their space! The open plan living flows onto the genrous decking where you can sit back and take in the absolute beachfront views! The bedding configuration at this Waihi Beach Accommodation is comprised of 3 bedrooms plus the second living area. Bedroom 1 is fitted with a king bed, bedroom 2 is fitted with a double bed, and bedroom 3 is fitted with a double bed and 1 single bunk set. Additional sleeping is provided in the second living area with a single bed and a sofa bed. The back garden is big enough for a game of cricket and if it's raining there is a foosball table in the garage! Waihi Beach is known as the safest surf beach in New Zealand, with a slow sloping beach meaning its safe for even littilies to paddle most of the time. There are great walks, a Farmers Market, and the shops are within walking distance. The bach is a few doors from the Flat White Cafe, which does great coffee and cuisine. Wake up with the surf at your front deck...it's absolutely sublime!
As the property has unfenced access to the beach, adults should closely supervise young children while outside to ensure they are safe around water.
As the balcony barrier is below 1 metre high, all guests should take care in this area due to the risk of falls. Adults should closely supervise young children to ensure that they do not climb the horizontal wooden slats in the barrier.

As the concrete in the back patio is cracked and has risen in some parts, all guests should take care in this area due to the risk of tripping.
