“I felt the house needed a good clean to remove the spider webs and spiders, mould in both showers and also in the new jug downstairs.”
The freezer was leaking constantly and required regular replacement of towels to mop up water. Reported to Bachcare. For the cost I felt the property required some updating . However on the upside it is a great home for family get togethers.

Everything we needed was there ; from numerous bikes and helmets, body boards, board games etc, high chair, cot, ample bedding. Clean and tidy and with well stocked kitchen utensils and for crockery. I would highly recommend this home for a perfect holiday!

The toys for the kids and bikes guaranteed a harmonius and fun weekend for the whole family. The property was very clean and tidy and we appreciated the spaciousness and the well equipped kitchen. Lounge furniture starting to look a little shabby but functional. Bikes for every age and size. Presume they all are all (more than 12 bikes/ride ons available) suitable for use. Table tennis table was great. Good location.

The area is amazing, great beach options, and the house had everything we needed and some. Loads of space and bedding arrangements. Loved having the bikes on hand for us to cruise around the neighbourhood.

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.
The property
Tuis Nest is a 5 bedroom 2 bathroom Bowentown holiday home at Waihi Beach. This spacious and sunny holiday home is a great option for extended family groups, with sleeping for up to 15 guests, just minutes from the beach! This 2 storey Bowentown holiday home includes warm and welcoming open plan living upstairs... There is ample room to unwind indoors, with a heat pump for year round comfort. When the weather is warmer, enjoy the spacious decking for dining al fresco with the BBQ on hand! A downstairs dining area and kitchenette ensure an easy group set up. Bedroom 1 at this Bowentown accommodation is situated upstairs, includes an ensuite bathroom, and is fitted with a king bed and extra TV with Freeview. Bedroom 2 has two single beds, and bedroom 3 includes a queen bed. Downstairs, bedroom 4 has a queen bed, and bedroom 5 has a queen and a single. There are 2 single beds and a queen bed in the lounge as well. In addition to the master ensuite, a family bathroom services the remaining bedrooms. This is a great location, just a 5 minute walk to the beach where you can enjoy safe paddling for young children at Anzac Bay, walk to secluded Shelly Bay, kayak around the rocks in the harbour, explore the caves at Cave Bay, cycle around Bowentown on one of the 6 provided bicycles, try your hand at fishing in the harbour or the ocean, enjoy excellent coffee and food at the local cafes and restaurants, or just laze on the deck... Make your way to Waihi and enjoy Tuis Nest! Some feedback from happy guests: Fantastic sunny bach, with heaps of space for the whole family. Love that it's walking distance to the beautiful beach and a great park/playground. Would highly recommend this as a family bach, all the amenities and comforts of home provided. Amanda Watson 4 Dec We really enjoyed staying at this bach, it more than accommodated our large group and the multiple living areas meant we could either split up or all be together. It was tidy and modern with everything you need. There is a kids playground nearby and the beach only a short walk away. Both Tauranga and Karangahaki Gorge are not too far away so lots of options.
