“Nice place, spacious.”
1) The beds were uncomfortable. Just hard. 2) No wiffi 3) Need more clarity on where to park a car. We were not sure if we could park on the grass. 4) If you do not mind the fire station siren, then pass on this property. We did not mind it. It went off 3 times. 5) Not to far to walk to the beach, and it is child safe.

Apologies that you found the beds uncomfortable - the owners have advised us that these beds were recently updated and are near new. We feel it is clear on the listing that there is no wifi at the property, but take this onboard. Important to note that the firestation is 150m from the house, and serves the community in instances of fire, floods and serious car accidents. Anywhere within the Waihi Beach area you will hear the loud siren in the event of an emergency. Thanks for your comments and we hope to see you again soon. Bachcare

Sandy “Great location, not too far from the beach and a great cafe at the end of the road.”
We loved the open plan living and being able to open all the sliding doors to let the breeze in. The outdoor shower was great! We had trouble getting in when we first arrived because of the corroded lock on the main sliding door, so we used other doors when we left and returned to the house. Thanks for the holiday!

The house was very comfortable and fun for us and the family. Great location. The rooms were nice and comfortable. All the facilities made our stay easy. A short walk to the beach. The games were fun for the kids.

The place was clean, comfortable, well equipped and in an excellent location. Just a couple of issues to not get 5 stars. First being that the lock box code didn’t work and we had to call and wait for the property manager to arrive with a spare key. The other issue was that the front door lock was very temperamental and wouldn’t easily lock or unlock. Most of the time we to leave the back door unlocked in order to guarantee we could get into the property again.

Good clothesline and outside space for kids, however the gate's latch accessing the alleyway doesn't work so we ended up using bungy cords to hold the gate shut. The parking information requests guests not to park on the grass, but the alternative is parking in the front houses driveway squashing their vege patch. The feel of the bach was very much like any broken piece of furniture was sent to the bach (three couches, two with broken arms and seat springs). It wasn't a nice bach to relax in sadly. We had hopes of BBQ's each night, but the BBQ did not work, couple that with bent and burnt frypans as the alternative, it added to the overall frustration of a summer bach holiday not providing the basics. We have stayed at many bachs over the last five years around Waihi Beach, loved all but this one so we won't be rebooking here.

Well equipped and close to the beach (5-6 min walk). Very quiet, given the fairly central location. Good selection of outdoor games.

It is a little distance to the beach (5-7 mins walk), but the property was quiet and set back from the street. For our family of five it proved fine, after a few admin hiccups around our arrival.

Waihi Wonder is a newly renovated 4 bedroom Waihi Beach holiday home with a fantastic set up for your next beach escape! The easy indoor / outdoor flow is great for year round living, just minutes from the sand and surf! Enjoying a spacious and peaceful section, this Waihi holiday home includes comfortably appointed open plan living that extends to the deck. Chill out and take in the relaxed holiday atmosphere, with the BBQ on hand for ideal kiwi summers... Bedrooms 1 and 2 each open onto the deck at this Waihi accommodation - with each fitted with a queen bed. The third bedroom includes a double bed plus 1 single bed. Lastly, bedroom 4 has 2 bunk sets. This is a great set up for couples and families, with plenty of space to enjoy games on the lawn, or simply kick back and relax on the deck! You are within walking distance to the beach, with the outdoor shower on hand after days in the sand and surf. Or head to the local cafe and bar when you feel like dining out...
