Penny “It is a very old Bach and we expected that from the description and photos, however even though old and musty the owner can have or should install decent new(ish) beds.”
My husband could not even sleep in the queen bed as it was like a waterbed! just incredibly uncomfortable and very soft (even sleeping with my son in that bed was awful) The lounge furniture (arm chairs in particular) old, uncomfortable and need updating. Cutlery and cups/glasses had to be washed before use, probably because the drawers and cupboards need a good clean. A mirror in the bathroom would be very beneficial. Location was great and a good size for a 2 bed cottage.

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.
The property
Hibiscus Cottage is a cute 2 bedroom Whangamata Bach. Located just a 5 minute walk from the beach, this is a great spot for a summer break! This casual Whangamata bach has an open plan living space including lounge, dining and kitchen. The lounge opens out on to a sunny deck, fire up the BBQ and dine al fresco! Able to sleep up to 4 guests, this low key Whangamata accommodation is an ideal option for a small family or group of friends. Bedroom 1 is fitted with a queen sized bed and bedroom 2 is fitted with 2 single beds. Popular amenities such as the 9 hole Williamson Golf Course and the 18 hole Titoki Golf Course are only a few minutes drive away, as is the harbour boat ramp. Enjoy a traditional kiwi beach holiday at Hibiscus Cottage!
