A short walk to the lake and lovely swimming. Plenty of space for everyone. The only are for improvement is the BBQ.. it was out of gas but that was quickly rectified by Bachcare, but the bBQ itself isn’t great.. it may be blocked.

It was great having the linen. It felt top quality. The folded facecloths and towel placement was a lovely touch. Overall the property is very clean and tidy. Thank you.

The heatpump was on when we arrived so the house was nice and toasty. Great location and only a short walk to the water and playground. The only thing we couldn't seem to find was a broom which could be handy. One of the kids accidentally put a small marker stain on the carpet. It was waterproof but we couldn't 100% get this out. So very sorry, please contact me if you need to.

Well equipped kitchen. Couldn't find any spare bedding for extra warmth in any of the cupboards though.

Lovely gardens were well maintained too. Big living area and great size for larger groups of people. Liked the location to Taupo and handy bistro or takeout pizza and shops within walking distance or short drive to fish n chips and asian food if you don't want to cook. The house was warm and there was plenty of space to spread out for different age groups. Tiny television in the lounge, but we were only there for a short time and tv wasn't on the agenda. Attention is required to some minor maintenance of the property to make it more comfortable as it was the little things that were a bit annoying. Fridge needs resealing so the door doesn't randomly open. The circuit tripped leaving the fridge defrosted and water all over the floor. There was no door handle in the bathroom downstairs and one of the guests got locked in. The kitchen tap in downstairs kitchenette was not fixed and came away from the bench when turned on. The hot water jug upstairs needs replacing as the switch turned itself on and off randomly and we had to hold it down to get it working for a cup of tea. The mirrors in bedroom and bathrooms need to be hung on the wall too.

We all enjoyed ourselves a lot. Nice location. First-time seen reality is much better than shown photos. The team bachcare looks after very well this property. Some drawbacks but those are minors easily find in busy properties. An awsome stay will come back when we can.

It easily accommodate our large group with lots of bedrooms and living spaces. Well equipped kitchen with everything we needed. I’d only mention that it was difficult to find some things (a hidden sharp knife drawer) and there weren’t enough knives for all of us. Great location and overall lovely stay.

It’s very roomy, perfect for 2 families. Some maintenance needs to be carried out as windows are older however overall for a batch stay it was great. The location in Acacia bay is perfect for boating, swimming etc and the park is awesome for kids just around the corner. Would stay again - thanks.

We loved it! If you are a foodie, you must take your knives, boards and serving utensils. The house sleeps twelve but there was not enough cutlery. The dishwasher was a bitch to run including the hot plate. It would have been great if the bottom oven could have been clean and there was some regular dishwashing liquid. We bought our own and left it for the next person. It's a great place; regardless of what I have mentioned, we would Come back!

Given it had 6 bedrooms, there was still plenty of space given to the kitchen and lounge. The listing on Book-a-Bach had a few issues displaying the number of bedrooms correctly.

Exactly the right size for our two families. Just a little tricky working out the oven, but other than that, great. Downstairs a little cooler but the heating and electric blankets made it cosy. Will be coming back again.

30pm. The house suited our group really well with the number and configuration of the rooms. Good wifi and heat pumps upstairs. The downstairs rooms were cold even with the heaters going in the rooms. It was a cold weekend in Taupo. The house needs a little TLC as the bathroom had mould on the walls and ceiling and several light bulbs didn’t work.

Lots of room & kitchen well stocked with equipment. Short walk to lake for a swim, lovely safe cove if you have little ones with you. Lovely view. Beds comfortable. Being an older house the upstairs floor creaks, not so good for those downstairs. Lots of car parking spaces. Very clean inside, dated & lacking care outside, needs a lot of TLC.

Only downfall was the knives draw is hidden above the cutlery draw and not obvious, however Kim, the property manager was very responsive when we asked after them. Also a great location with a short drive into town and the swimming area is just down the road. Easy living as a home away from home and a lovely stay for the whole family. We will definately stay there again if returning to holiday in Taupo.

Such a lovely home and even better location. Planned to stay at a different place in Acacia Bay but it got booked so we decided to stay here instead, and im thrilled that the other place had been booked because this place was perfect for us! Huge living area for everyone to hang out in. Great sized bedrooms for everyone. Couldnt have asked for a better location, quick drive to town and small walk down to the like. House was also nice and warm when we arrived which was a nice. Highly recommend. Thanks for having us!

Of course, there is room to park the boat on site, with Te Moenga Bay of Lake Taupo only metres away. This small sandy bay has a boat launch and fishing pier, or simply park up in the sun with a good book. Acacia Bay Getaway has stunning views in a tranquil setting and is just an 8-minute drive to the heart of Taupo for shopping, eateries and adrenaline-packed adventures. About the location
Just a few minutes drive from Taupo Central, Acacia Bay is a great place for a holiday filled with boating, fishing and hiking. Head into town for some shopping and an array of excellent cafes, or drive to see the famous Huka Falls. Another great thing to do is to simply find a good spot and take in the view of Lake Taupo over a picnic or some fish and chips.
