Spectacular views. Plenty of room. Easy access. Lots of parking. Our stay was in winter, we kept up with the heating available which was a must. Highly recommended especially if you have a large group. Awesome lawn area if you have children with you.

Bachcare only arrived late that night with needing for the final 3 but only put a loose sheet on the bottom and no top sheet. So basically people we sleeping under a blanket despite having paid for the bedding service. Not impressed.

..there were a number of gaping holes in the deck where it looked like someone's foot had gone through rotten timber - and there is a very big drop below and we had a toddler with us. There weren't very many bedside lamps in the house and we moved one to use in the room the toddler was sleeping in, in a cot - and the shade started to melt as the bulb was a far higher wattage than the limit on the lamp base which was when we noticed that there were no smoke alarms in this very large house, which I believe is against all regulations. I would have expected that this issue at least would have been dealt with promptly but I had no contact at all from the property manager. The other gripe I had was that the listing did not mention that 2 of the bedrooms have no doors and are more like alcoves that you have to pass through on the way to other bedrooms.

Andie “Overall a very disappointing experience with Batchcare but a comfortable and enjoyable stay at the property.”
First of all, the listing incorrectly listed pets okay outside only. It was only as I was checking the night before leaving to make sure I had everything needed to bring our dog that I discovered that 'pets okay' outside had been removed and I had not been advised. I called as soon as they opened the next morning expecting that it would not be an issue and that they would honour the conditions at the time of booking only to find this was not the case. Staff were incredibly unhelpful and caused me a huge amount of stress and upset trying to make last minute arrangements for my dog. They were completely unwilling to try and find a resolution, contact the property owners to find out if we could pay a bond to bring her given the situation or even apologise for their error. The property itself is great. Awesome views and location, large enough for 2 families and comfortable. Plenty of parking and easy access. The kitchen is well stocked with ample plates, cups, glasses and utensils, along with several condiments for guest use. Unfortunately the property has not been well maintained (assuming this is batch care on behalf of the owners) as there are several rotten and broken boards on the balcony along with numerous raised and exposed nails which is very dangerous - especially for young children. There were numerous lights that were not working (I think just bulbs that needed to be replaced) - in the bathrooms, kitchen and main living areas. And one of the windows in the master bedroom was missing a fixture to close it properly so was not very secure. There is also exposed electrical wiring on the bottom of the hot water cylinder in the wardrobe in the single upstairs bedroom. Again very dangerous and something that needs to be rectified urgently. Finally check out instructions advised to clean the BBQ if used or a fee would be charged, however no cleaning products were left to clean the BBQ with so we had to purchase these ourselves. In summary, I would most definitely recommend the property however, would absolutely NOT recommend Batchcare and will think carefully before booking a Batchcare property again in the future.

superb beds and bedding lovely comfortable lounge especially having a wood burner . The pantry and kitchen was wonderful and the view was just the best. Thankyou so much for sharing your beautiful home. We will be back and will share our experience on FB. On the down side noticed a few heaters don't work and thought a couple of multi banks would come in handy as we were 6 adults with phones. also there also no dishclothes in the kitchen. Very difficult to get in contact with. On arrival key not where we were informed lucky a door left unlocked so could get in . House had not been cleaned, floors dirty , basins not cleaned, toilets dirty , no rubbish bags left, no firewood as stated on amenities supplied. House was freezing cold some heaters not working, light bulbs not working, bbq out of order , beds not made. Tried to contact bachcare on arrival with theses problems told someone would come round which did not happen after 3 phone calls if trying and 3 different excuses we gave up. Was finally told where the key was completely different place than where we were advised. A young man turned up following day said would clean the floors which was a joke swept rubbish in a corner and put rubbish tin over it so it couldn’t be seen. Never left firewood as he said he would finally delivered some a couple days before our departure . When we finally got house warm it was more comfortable but very disillusioned about all the problems which ruined our family holiday of 7 days. We were supposed to stay in February due to covid had to cancel Bachcare did give us a credit for 12 months and used it in July. Rate was cheaper in July so decided to stay an extra night from original booking but even though we were still in credit from original booking they charged us for the extra night. Have been in the hotel industry for many years and if acted as Bachcare have we wouldn’t have had a business . Definitely never use them again. A lot of maintenance needs to be done on the house kitchen cupboard doors don’t close properly and not in good repair bench top peeling off and in some bathrooms. Beds comfortable and views amazing.

It was very warm inside once we arrived which was perfect as it is very cold in Taupo during this time. Our stay was very comfortable, there were extra blankets and heaters in every room. It had everything we needed and alot of space to move around. The views outside from the deck were amazing! Shops and centre close by. Would defintely recomend this place to others and would love to stay here again.

The rooms are also quite spacious. However, some essential items were not working. These include the sliding door lock of the deck area and the ceiling light in laundry area. Quite disappointing that such essential items were not addressed beforehand.
