Rosemary “This property needs cleaning!”
The shower had pink bacteria all through it. Doors and walls had dirty hand prints on them. The gardens were a mess - foot high weeds in grass and weeds everywhere in the garden.

Internet was good and I liked the TV setup in both bedrooms. Comfy beds and pillows.

Its location is only about 10mins walk to the lake and two mile bay sailing centre, which is great for an evening beverage and pizza. The property's decor is fairly modern, comfortable, clean and all amenities needed eg- in kitchen are there. Blessing in heat of summer to have the Heat pump in lounge, as works well to cool most of house. Also, had two driveways access up either side of the house, which enabled us to park the boat safely away up one side, behind a gate. Would definately recommend and hope to stay here again some time :)

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

Just an 8 minute drive around the lake from Taupo Central, Wharewaka is a great base for a relaxing or adventure-packed holiday. It's out of the hustle and bustle of the centre, but still close to many of the bucket-list activities Taupo has to offer such as going out on the lake, visiting Huka Falls or even making the trek along the Tongariro Crossing.
