Tony “Have stayed before but the place is getting tired and we paid a big cleaning fee but it didnt look like it had been cleaned before we arrived.”
Also we booked for 5 people and the linen for the fold out couch was for a single bed when the couch is a double. Apart from that its a good location

Siobhan “The property was great and had everything we needed.”
I don’t think it had been used in a while as there were a number of dead bugs inside or it hadn’t been vacuumed. The firewood was also damp so didn’t put out much heat but we found a heater to run with it. All in all it’s a lovely place and we would happily stay again.

It was very clean and well organized with everything you might need. The beds were comfortable and clean and kitchen was well setup. Between the wood fire and the electric oil heater we were comfortable even in on cold days in winter.

Private and surrounded by trees with a park at the back boundary. House renovations very good esp the bathroom which was excellent. Comfortable bed. Small dogs allowed which was essential for us. Had everything we wanted for a very peaceful, restful and comfortable stay.

A few breakfast essential condiments would have great. Nice little house, cleaner now than when we got there. Walk down to the Two mile Boat Bar, best day into night bar when they have live bands. Cheers DJ.

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

Matuku Hideaway is a 2 bedroom Two Mile Bay holiday home set on peaceful, generous grounds, close to the lake edge. This laid back Taupo holiday home offers great indoor/outdoor living, with sleeping for up to 6 guests. This Two Mile Bay holiday home includes open-plan living, kitchen, and dining. The living area opens onto the deck making this a great summer option, or keep cosy during cooler stays with the closed fireplace. Each of the 2 bedrooms at this Two Mile Bay accommodation is situated off the living area. Bedroom 1 is fitted with a queen bed, and includes deck access. Bedroom 2 is fitted with 2 single beds, plus there is a sofa bed in the living area when required. For laid back summer living, there is ample room outdoors to enjoy a BBQ or kick back in the hammock with a good book! In the evening, take a stroll along the popular Lions Walk. For days on the water, you are just moments from the lakes edge and boat ramp at 2 Mile Bay. Make your way to Matuku Hideaway for a relaxed Taupo holiday!
Small, toilet-trained pets are allowed inside. Otherwise, pets are allowed outside only. No large dogs inside please as the house is quite small.
