The cottage is surrounded by a bush garden with birds, and has everything needed to be self-contained. We appreciated hostess Claire leaving delicious cupcakes and eggs as a welcome gift. Bellbird Cottage is 5 mins from the nearest supermarket and 10 mins from Taupo central. Very enjoyable weekend.

Just right for the 2 of us. Walks along the river without having to drive anywhere is just priceless. I got to see several actual bellbirds including right outside the door. Cottage had everything you'd need for comfort.

A charming place with some delicious surprise treats from the owners. A lovely stay and a sweet little spot. Really appreciate the privacy but very glad we got a chance to say hey and thank one of the owners.
- Kya, November 2022Marie “The cottage was lovely, however we were unable to get the wall heater in the bedroom to go and it was a cold weekend.”
Also it wasnt until arrival and reading the book it said no shoes inside and recommended taking slippers. I think maybe this should be listed on the site as I never thought about taking slippers. Other than that it was a lovely little cottage to stay at

Extremely clean, warm and cozy. The hosts have thought of everything. The personal touches make it very welcoming. We highly recommend the bellbird cottage as a couple/romantic getaway, small family, leisure. As for business, there us no wifi and 4G is patchy at best. Overall we give a 10/10 rating.
