We enjoyed that their were many areas in which everyone could break out into. The house was clean with 2 kitchens and 2 tvs with chromecasts that helped to keep the children entertained. Thank you for having us xo

Quiet area. Very handy to lake. 15 minute bike ride along the lake to Taupo centre. Brand new Woolworth 3 minute drive away. Well equipped kitchen. Great for our family get together.

The house was incredibly spacious and located on a decent sized lot just 10 minutes out of town! Lots of room to socialize both upstairs and downstairs! Our stay was in the winter, so we didn’t get to enjoy much of the outside space, but did get to have a sunny breakfast on the deck. No complaints from us!

We had two families of four staying and the kids loved the kids room downstairs. Close walk to the lake. Nice quiet location. Could do with a gate to close the property in (we have a three year old who loves to try and escape). The lawns aren’t as big as they look in photos. Overall happy with our stay

It’s a 5 minute drive to the Taupo shops so nice and close by (but you’ll need a car). SO much space and the house we really tidy. Extra bonus with heat pumps upstairs and down. We stayed in August/September when it was still a bit cold but looked like it was all set up for an awesome Summer stay.

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

Relax on the deck upstairs while the kids challenge each other to a game of Foosball downstairs - this is a perfect set up for larger groups, with cosy interior plus 2 kitchens and 2 bathrooms to ensure the ultimate in convenience. You can keep it casual with the BBQ on hand for easy holiday feasts, or head up the road for a selection of cafes. When it's time to burn off some energy, you can stroll to the lake at the end of the street for scenic walks and bike rides along the waters edge. Other adventure activities include trips to Huka Falls, visiting the hot springs, or head out for days on the lake... Awesome year round adventures are sure to please the Family at Wharewaka!

Just an 8 minute drive around the lake from Taupo Central, Wharewaka is a great base for a relaxing or adventure-packed holiday. It's out of the hustle and bustle of the centre, but still close to many of the bucket-list activities Taupo has to offer such as going out on the lake, visiting Huka Falls or even making the trek along the Tongariro Crossing.
