The fire was ready for lighting and plenty of wood in the wood basket. Great location near the beach and the local cafes. Would definitely go back there again.

Inside furniture and furnishings are wonderful, very comfortable, though the outdoor furniture is not so great. Couple of issues in the kitchen. The property manager was extremely helpful.

No toilet paper on the holder when we arrived. We were provided the wrong entry details. All window latches are broken. No aircon. Pour quality renovation work. Lawns weren't mowed. Outdoor area is unusable. The BBQ is awkwardly placed around the corner by the master bedroom. I could go on

Great selection of games which the kids loved! We unfortunately had a challenge accessing the property due to being given an incorrect lock box code. Then we’re unable to get hold of the manager too. Resulted in us driving round in the dark with young kids trying to find a motel. Did put a negative on the stay unfortunately. However the manager and owner have been very good to us since which we really appreciate.

The property
Ponderosa is a 2 bedroom Waitarere Beach bach an 8 minute walk or 1 minute drive to the beach. This cosy bach is comfortable and relaxed, with sleeping for up to 5 guests. This Waitarere Beach bach includes bright and modern open plan living. The lounge leads outdoors for easy indoor/outdoor flow, and has a great wood burner with plenty of firewood for long winter nights. The easy care kitchen has all the basics for a hassle free stay. Each of the bedrooms at this Waitarere Beach accommodation is located off the lounge. Bedroom 1 is fitted with a queen bed, and bedroom 2 is fitted with a single bunk set plus a fold out futon. This is a great wee set up for a small family. Everything you need for a fun and easy getaway awaits at Ponderosa!
Mobile phone network coverage works fine for phone calls. WiFi is available at the property for any dropouts should a network coverage not work for any unexpected reason.
A kindly reminder that the new recycling bins are available for all recyclable rubbish only. The other rubbish is to be either placed in Council approved rubbish bags or taken away at guest's check-out.
