The proximity to the beach along with the local walking and biking opportunities is perfect for a quiet relaxing break. We hope to be back during summer to make good use of the outside area which is delightful.

Fiona “We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.”
We had a fantastic kayak from Whites Bay around the coast - what an amazing coastline of cliffs, caves and rock formations. We also visited vineyards and cycled some of the trails near Blenheim. My husband ran most of the bush trails every morning and enjoyed exploring the area. We loved the house, it’s comfortable, relaxing and homey and we really appreciated that it was dog friendly. Thank you.

The only thing is the couch was super uncomfortable and the seats. If this was our batch we said we would get the 3 seater Koala couch this would also give you a extra double bed. The beds where super uncomfortable.

Lovely warm house with everything we needed in the kitchen. Having two bathrooms was great. I would improve the lighting in the bedrooms and have a fold out sofa instead of a spare matress.

Rarangi is really cool and quiet and even though the surf is quite big we managed to swim there to keep cool. Loved having our dogs come too and the house was good for them. I would stay again

For us, being dog friendly was a critical requirement and this fulfilled that and then some: sizeable securely fenced section, wild flower paddocks at your doorstep, and the beach waa only a stick's throw away. Replacing the sofa in the living room with something a bit more comfortable would be great. Otherwise well equipped. The extensive range of books, DVDs, games and music available made us feel privileged to share your holiday home - thank you

Great kitchen and books/cds/dvds/games. Only catch being the DVD player wouldn't always load. Thank you so much for the stay and turning the heat on for me before I arrived.

The house is spacious, the kitchen well equipped and the beds comfortable. It was quiet at night and close to the beach. Dogs are allowed at the property which is well fenced. Dogs are allowed off lead on the area opposite the house and on the beach. The beach is pebbly.

The kitchen was extremely well appointed for having holiday makers i.e. named drawers and cupboards. Picnic gear, plastic containers for storage etc. Located in an area of Marlborough that provides families with many outdoor activities. A beach across the road, caves and coves within a short walking distance. 10 minute drive (or a walk) to the most popular beach in Blenheim. Dogs would love this location...many dogs and friendly owners reside at Rarangi.

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.
The property
Sunrise Beach House is a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom Rarangi holiday house. Located on the spectacular sweep of Cloudy Bay, Sunrise Beach House is situated right opposite the Rarangi reserve, protected from the sea breezes by trees, yet only 100 steps to the beach! This Rarangi holiday house offers open plan living that is spacious and light. With retro styling, modern enhancements and a sprinkling of Kiwiana, the living area leads onto decking for easy outdoor living and a BBQ for your convenience. Sunrise Beach House is disabled friendly with wheelchair access both front and back via ramps, and a newly renovated kitchen, with good internal space throughout. The property is also fully fenced and ideal for children and pets. There are 3 bedrooms at this Rarangi accommodation, bedroom 1 is fitted with a queen bed, while bedroom 2 is fitted with a single bed, and bedroom 3 a double. There are 2 bathrooms to complete the indoor set up at Sunrise Beach House. Guests also have access to free unlimited WiFi, sports equipment in the garage and a table tennis table. There is a heat pump and other heaters for keeping warm and cosy in winter and cooling air conditioning in summer. When you are not sitting back and relaxing, the bach is within walking distance from not only the beach but a bush walk, natural caves, a spectacular look-out to Cloudy Bay, a children's playground, the Rarangi golf course and tennis courts, and it is biking distance away from Wairau River and diversion - ideal for swimming, fishing and kayaking. Popular White's Bay is just over the hill. You are also short driving distance away from the celebrated Marlborough Wine Trail and all the town amenities of Blenheim - only 15-20 minutes by car. From this location you are also 25 minutes drive to Picton and the magnificent Marlborough Sounds. You can also take the high, winding scenic route to the Sounds from Rarangi Beach via historic Port Underwood. This laid back bach is a great option for a Marlborough getaway. This little coastal town is located at the top of the South Island, around 15 minutes drive from Blenheim. It's beach has been described as a 'Wild Beauty', with many natural sites to explore such as shallow caves with glow worms and Skinks and Lizards on the edge of the forest. For the golfers, Rarangi golf course is located between the waves at Cloudy Bay and Mt Robertson and invites a challenge to all golfers.
