No instructions on arrival and so was a bit tricky to find some things (e.g. water pump stitch, fuse box for hot water) but those are easily fixed with a sheet of paper. Really family friendly property - we loved it

Wonderful location easy walking distance to beach, shops and playground. Great outlook with glimpses of the sea. Recommend and would happily stay here again.

Lots of walkways to explore Omaha by either foot or cycle. Great place to hire for families with children. We had a ball and the children enjoyed themselves immensely.

It’s perfect for friends and families getting away together. Everything was perfect, from comfy couches and beds to a full amenity kitchen and a fireplace that we used every night! The beach was just a small walk away and watching the endangered NZ dotterels nesting was a highlight.

It works really well for a couple of families and we all enjoy toasting marshmallows on the outdoor fire in the enclosed deck area. Kids had great fun playing “swing ball” on the deck outside the kitchen (just tennis balls in stockings suspended from the overhead beams

The property
Easy Escape is a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom Omaha holiday home with WiFi and Netflix. Positioned in a quiet cul-de-sac, this reserve-side holiday home is an excellent option to enjoy a refreshing getaway, with no roads between you and the beach! This Omaha holiday home includes relaxed open plan living that flows outdoors... fire up the BBQ and dine alfresco, the outdoor fireplace is the perfect addition for laid back outdoor living! There are 3 bedrooms in the main house at this Omaha accommodation, plus 1 bathroom. Bedroom 1 enjoys deck access for cruisy summer stays, and is fitted with a queen bed. Bedroom 2 has a single bunk set, and bedroom 3 includes a double bed. For larger groups, additional sleeping is available in the 4th bedroom, with 2 single bunk sets plus a double futon. A second bathroom is also available... this is a great option for family groups! This is the perfect spot to relax and unwind, with large entertaining decks on both the east and west sides of the house, one with ocean and reserve views, the other with outdoor fireplace and private courtyard... when you are not enjoying time out with your group, head to the beach an easy stroll from your door. The outdoor shower is on hand after days in the sand and surf, or head out for day trips to explore the beautiful Matakana area. This is a casual and cosy base for an awesome Omaha getaway... welcome to your Easy Escape!

Just an 8-minute drive from Matakana is the long stretch of a white sandy surf beach that is Omaha. This is a great area to base yourself from, located within a short drive to all the gems of the area such as Snells beach, Sandspit, Campbell's Beach and Tawharanui National Park. The best place to be in Omaha is certainly beachside, watching surfers battle the waves or taking a dip in one of the calmer areas yourself.
