Phil “The directions for the key pickup were confusing and frustrating.”
It spoke about a lock box that we had never experienced and that the key was under the lid of the barbecue? We arrived around 2.45 pm and then rang the office around 3pm. No one returned our call and we sat around for an hour then made another call where they apologized for no response and we then were directed to the lock box. There was no evidence of wi-fi? Could not get the TV in the bedroom to work and the TV in the lounge did not work on the last evening! Other than that the location was great and basically very comfortable.

A great location... our teenage and young adult children loved the proximity to both the shop/ cafe and the beach. There were plenty of beds and having the linen provided was fantastic. Having two decks to choose from was a bonus as well. A couple of the dining chairs need some attention as do a couple of bedroom doors which didn't close properly. Still we loved it and are planning to go back another time. Thanks for sharing your slice of Kiwi paradise with us!

Short walk to the shop, beach & community centre at the golf course. Could do with a trim around the cloths line so it can be fully utilised, but not a sticking point either. Plenty of space , quiet & comfortable. Would definitely book again, magical vaccay was had here. 8/10.

The grounds are so over grown the clothesline is covered by a tree and gets no sun so that doesn’t help. We had a lovely stay but the listing doesn’t really detail how run down it is.

It is definitely roomy and plenty of space out the front and back. Although it ended up being only my partner & I we would highly recommend for families / groups :) had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Great value for money

Margaret “No gas in bbq bottle.”
Bbq had rust so would not have used it, if gas had been provided. One lounge curtain had come off it's track and we had to fix it so we could close the curtain. Cobwebs hanging from ceiling in the lounge and on top of kitchen windows. At least the kitchen and bathroom were clean! Due to the cleaning fee we paid we did expect a spotlessly clean house and bbq.

Clean & tidy. we liked it but our experience was marred by the fact that the heat pump would. phoned Bachcare, not very helpful, was put on hold then cut off. rang again. young man was not very nice & insisted I give him booking number which I was not able to supply as it was on my phone which I was using. gave him all other details ie address, name, etc he still insisted on the booking number which I again told him I was not able to and felt he could find it with the information I gave him. He then told me to Calm down!!! that was extremely rude and unnecessary. well no one came to fix the heat pump so luckily the house had small heaters which we had to use & I did happen to take a small heater with us. the other thing is there is no range hood over the oven? As it is winter we cooked inside. when cooking Steak we set of the fire alarm. had to open all doors in the cold. then in the morning we cooked bacon and eggs & set off the fire alarm again. so 2 things unworkable heat pump & no rangehood. House was nice but we were not happy with Bachcare's response to our problem

Awsome look into golf course and has a deck at the front and back for a sunny spot all day. Highly recommend

Great location near the shops also. I would recommend that the owners provide an umbrella over the table on the front deck and that they allow tenants to use the heat pump in the lounge for cooling in the hotter months (Jan/Feb). Seems a bit tight not to allow this when tenants are paying a high nightly rate to stay.

Kiwi Bach at Omaha is a three bedroom Omaha holiday home with decks that catch the sun and have views of the Omaha estuary and golf course. Able to accommodate up to 8 guests, this is a great location for a large family or combination of families to holiday in! This Omaha accommodation is simple and comfortable, with all you require for a relaxing get-away. The living area is open plan and has all of the essentials that will allow you to enjoy your holiday in comfort. The holiday home has three bedrooms and one family sized bathroom. The first bedroom has a queen bed along with a single and a rollaway, bedroom number two has another queen bed and a single bed, and the third bedroom also contains a queen bed. Kiwi Bach at Omaha is a comfortable house with large decks front and back. Embrace outdoor living while soaking up the sun on the outdoor furniture and cook your summer meals on the barbeque out the back to make the most of this property. The kids are able run around safely as the section is fully fenced. Located in a quiet crescent, this property is peaceful as well as safe for the kids to play in. There are plenty of water activities to undertake while holidaying in Omaha such as swimming, snorkeling and diving; fishing is also a must with lots of hot fishing spots! This Omaha accommodation is walking distance to the 18 hole golf course, the surf club and beach, as well as the local shops. Close by are several cafes and vineyards that are definitely worth paying a visit to. The increasingly popular Matakana is also just a short distance away. Omaha is a great place for a carefree holiday; a true slice of paradise, and just a stones throw from Auckland. Kiwi Bach at Omaha has a traditional bach feel and is just the place to experience your kiwi summer holiday!
Please note, this property has 2 driveways. Parking for boats over 7m is located on the side driveway alongside the house. Boats under 5m can be parked at the bottom driveway.

Just an 8-minute drive from Matakana is the long stretch of a white sandy surf beach that is Omaha. This is a great area to base yourself from, located within a short drive to all the gems of the area such as Snells beach, Sandspit, Campbell's Beach and Tawharanui National Park. The best place to be in Omaha is certainly beachside, watching surfers battle the waves or taking a dip in one of the calmer areas yourself.
