Loved our family ladies weekend stay, lovely and clean, and appreciated the extra welcoming touches (soaps in all showers and clear instructions re expectations pre departure) would certainly book again if going back to Matakana area

We left a paddle for our kayak in the garage, but after 3 phone calls to bachcare to find out if they have located it and to arrange pick up no returned calls,asked for property manager to call but no response. Overall poor customer service.

The house had everything we needed and more, there were 10 of us and we were very comfortable, plenty of space and all the extras like the table tennis, kayaks, boards, tennis rackets etc made us wish we had more time to enjoy it all. We will definitely be back and for longer next time. Thank you again.

We are a group of 5 mums who come away for a kid free weekend to put our feet up. The fire place makes the place for us. We discussed a mirror in one of the bedrooms would be a bonus and found the bunk room quite cold which could benefit a heater.

Not only a fantastic location, for a winter get away it was cosy and warm, large enough for a few couples had all the facilities that you would or could need during a short time stay. We were able to cook as they catered for everything you needed in terms of pots and pans etc. Bachcare were extremely easy to deal with and great, speedy communication. The arriving and departure requirements were much easier than other baches too. It was like a home away from home. Would definitely recommend and stay again hopefully Sumner 23.

Great location, property size and well stocked kitchen generally. We particularly enjoyed the table tennis table. However, we were disappointed with two aspects: 1. There was no coffee plunger or other way to make fresh coffee. For a property at this price point we would have expected this to be standard. 2. The listing stated there were bikes available to be used. One was completely unusable as the front tire was broken. The other three were in various states of disrepair that we did not feel were usable to safely go for a proper bike ride with our kids. We would have brought our own bikes had we known this. We would recommend the reference to the bikes is taken out of the listing given their current state.

It was clean tidy and in a fantastic location. Close to the beach and within an easy drive of Matakana markets and vineyards. We would happily stay there again!

There was none was informed it was in garage. There was none. I would of picked it up from town. Had to make a trip back into town was not happy with that? All I wanted to do was chill? Recommend supplying it urself. Over all def enjoyed the stay

Owners generously leave out water sports and cycling gear (of which we used none). The place is perfect for activity, exploring and chilling! We only spent 2 nights there, but left saying we wish we’d had longer, and we’d love to come back!!

We’ve stayed in Omaha many times and we loved the size and location of this house. Perfect to walk to the beach and shops. Nice quiet no exit street so our little ones loved riding their bikes around. Easy to book, easy instructions, easy exit. Will definitely look to book for our next family trip there. Thanks again!

The bach is well set up and has plenty of crockery, serving plates etc. Disappointed that we were unable to use the TV for the Allblacks/Irish match especially when there are instructions on how to use sky. At the very least you should be able to access channels 1 to 3. It was an expensive per night rate so should be included.

The house is only a short easy walk to the beach and located on a quiet road which is perfect for the kids to ride their bikes along. Kayaks and table tennis were a huge hit with everyone, and the view from the master bedroom is a fantastic retreat. Definitely will be back!

Had everything we needed. Kitchen had loads of pots, pans, utensils. Kids loved the bikes and boards and other 'toy's' in the garage. Table tennis was a hit with all. Nice short walk to the beach and not too far along the paths to the shops.

It is modern, clean, very comfortable, well equipped, close to the beach, cafe and shops. The upstairs bedroom is huge with ensuite and views to the water. We used the outdoor area with BBQ and outdoor fire. We stayed with two families including our teenagers. There is a range of games and outdoor equipment for them to use.

Really sunny and warms up beautifully in the day, even in winter. Has everything needed, including hairdryer and scooters/bikes for the kids to play on. The kids bunkroom and little lounge for them was wonderful! They enjoyed the table tennis too. Great views from Master bedroom. Slightly odd not having a door to the 'round the corner' en suite in the Master room, but we got used to that.

Just an 8-minute drive from Matakana is the long stretch of a white sandy surf beach that is Omaha. This is a great area to base yourself from, located within a short drive to all the gems of the area such as Snells beach, Sandspit, Campbell's Beach and Tawharanui National Park.
