The living space is HUGE, the kitchen is sufficient and the bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and tidy. Would highly recommend.

The building site next door was noisy early Monday, that's our only negative comment. Would have liked to know about the construction before booking.

If you want a relaxing and easy stay right on the beach it's absolutely perfect. Great space out front for games etc (it is a shared public space but this is often the way with kiwi baches right on the beach). The beach is great for younger kids as well as it stays shallow for quite a while. As mentioned in the listing, the property is not fenced, so it was perfect for my children aged 10 and up, with lots of beach toys//activities available from the owners. The kitchen / living area is huge with amazing views over the sea. A gorgeous view to wake up to every morning no matter what the weather.

I think it would be good to let future visitors know there is no outdoor privacy at the location. This was not an issue for our group but I could see it might be for others. Only issue was that although advertised as having BBQ facilities ( and so we prepared to BBQ on the evening of our arrival) there was no gas in the bottle(s).

Actually we had a great stay while we stayed although only one dishwasher tablet provided while our booking is for two nights. However when we left in reasonable cleaning conditions as we usual do in the past 10 years that has more than 20 or 30 times stay in NZ’s holiday house, just don’t understand why the cleaner was so angry with us and showed quite a lot of photos that showed existing marks or some dirt in the secret corner that would never touched. We had an unpleasant discussion about the claim. We don’t understand what we had done wrong and don’t understand why the cleaner is so angry. It is sad and unhappy ending.

Very quiet & the view is spectacular. Added bonus only being a few hundred meters from Bayside Cafe. Only suggestion would be to have some info at the property as we had a challenge getting the oven to work. Would definitely come back
