Ockert “Property was very poorly cleaned.”
The furniture was spares, old, broken and there were cockroaches. This property is too expensive for the age of the furniture and the cleanliness was very poor. There were 4 toilet rolls for 8 people for 4 days. Will not book this property again.

Everything was lovely and there were plenty of cups, plates, platters, knives, forks and cooking utensils. It was great for us because we celebrated our grandsons 21st with family. The younger members played on the games tables downstairs and we cheered on, it was a really lovely time and everyone had a great time. The house was comfortable and had a really nice homely feel about it. The only small critism I would have is that in the summer it would be too hot upstairs in the living area as there is no air conditioning. Perhaps that's one thing the owners could consider.

We really enjoyed our stay, but had an unfortunate incident which was nothing to do with the property but more to do with the management ie Bachcare. We left a rather valuable dish behind accidentally and despite our best efforts at communication and attempts to retrieve that dish, we were stymied at every turn by the property managers. It would appear the dish is no longer at the property so either it was stolen by staff or subsequent guests. I did give them a heads up regarding this but it is apparent that they don't believe us. They have been in touch several times to say the dish isn't there and there is nothing we can do about it. :-( Lesson learned.

walls dirty and place smelt…. Furniture uncomfortable and tv is tiny and kind of pointless… the property is too expensive for being so basic I wouldn’t recommend it… it needs tlc and be better managed and stocked… a few basic extras would make a huge difference… if felt ripped off

Catherine “A clean and tidy welcoming house suitable for three generations to stay.”
Situated in a quiet dead end street with ample parking. A short walk down to the beach or up to the donkey park. The games room was well used - great to have in the winter.

The home was larger than expected, plenty of space and we really made good use of the games room downstairs. Couple of downsides for us. The two single beds and the bed in the room next to the 2 x singles were very uncomfortable for those that slept in them. I think the singles are meant for children. They ended up taking their mattresses off the beds and sleeping in the lounge. They were old and every little movement made screechy noises. The other 2 beds were perfect and very comfortable. The TV was tiny, we had some bad weather over the weekend and would have liked to utilise the TV more but it was too small for all of us. I guess a summer holiday home doesn't need a decent TV. And the lounge furniture was a bit on the old side but I suppose that added to the character of the home. We also had an issue with keeping one of the shower heads spraying down. I did see a previous comment about that so maybe that can be fixed properly? Other than that we really enjoyed our stay and would definatly like to come back and stay during the summer and get out to the beach. The location was perfect for us and us 7 adults were comfortable with the space in this house too.

The downstairs games room was an added bonus… even for us adults! Plenty of room for 5 of us to spread out in.

There were five adults and there was plenty of room for us all. Overall the beds were very comfortable. Nice view over Snell's Beach. Certainly a good supply of games to play, including pool table and badminton table downstairs; also a good supply of books if you choose to relax or for rainy days. Thanks to Steve our Bachcare property manager for his assistance and efficiency.

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

Serene at Snells is a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom Snells Beach bach. This casual and spacious holiday home offers a simple stay for up to 8 guests just an hour north of Auckland. This 2-storey Snells Beach bach is an easy family option with open plan living upstairs, and a games room downstairs. The conservatory offers extra space to sit back in the sun. The sleeping configuration at this Snells Beach accommodation is comprised of 4 bedrooms. All bedrooms are fitted with a queen bed. To complete the family set-up, there are 2 bathrooms and an additional toilet at this Snells Beach bach. For additional living space, keep the family entertained with the games room downstairs including a pool table plus a table tennis table!
