- Ann, March 2021Leigh “Excellent space but some investment on the bathroom needed Location brilliant.”
Interior space of main house superb for a group. Quirkeness of aged decor lovely. Crisp professionally cleaned sheets delightful. However, bathroom in main house needs attention to cleaning of walls, shower and vanity. Shower needs a complete upgrade. Hot water temperature set dangerously high. Flooring in bathroom needs to be a proper fixed lino.
- Leigh, February 2021Thank you for your review Leigh. We are happy to hear you enjoyed the space. This property is an original villa with all the original fittings and as a result, the bathroom fittings do have marks on them that cannot be removed. We are happy to let you know that the flooring is being replaced. We have passed along your feedback to the owner of the property to ensure any other necessary improvements are made. We hope you enjoyed your time away in Napier. Bachcare
Richard “Quirky house and great property, with good facilities.”
Good hosts, comfortable beds and well kitted out kitchen. The only issue was the shower temperature. Even on the cold setting it was far too hot.
- Richard, January 2021Lisa “This is a very retro house, but that adds to its character.”
Lots of space for a large group or family to enjoy and relax both outside and inside. close walking distance to central Napier.
- Lisa, January 2021Linda “This house will easily accommodate 6 people, 4 in the house and 2 in the separate studio out the back.”
The back yard was fenced and safe for children. Although the house decor is dated, it was clean and well presented and the beds were comfortable.

Just five minutes west of the city centre, Marewa was originally part the inner harbour and 'rose' above sea level in the Earthquake. As a result most of the suburb's housing was built in the Art Deco style and forms part of the Deco Tourist Trail. It has its own shopping centre and there are reserve walkways to take a stroll.
