Emily “We had a great stay.”
It is a very old house. We had a few cold days during our stay. The heaters on the bottom floor (and the bathroom) didn't really keep up. Everything else was great--location, kitchen, decor, cleanliness, etc

Charlene “Great stay!”
House was much bigger than expected which was a bonus. House was really cold when we arrived, but warmed up quick enough with the heat pump
- Charlene, June 2024Ra “Great place to reconnect with family.”
Room for the kids to play no matter the weather. Walking distances are easy and the easy parking was perfect.
- Ra, April 2024Rachael “What an incredible place.”
We all felt very comfy. It is a very very good sized house. The bedrooms are good sized as well as being super comfy. Awesome location and the Road noise was not too bad. We would love to stay again one day. The only negative was the BBQ was pretty dirty and there was no tea towel or wash cloth for the kitchen that we could find ( Probably we did not look hard enough)
- Rachael, March 2024Farida “A spacious, wonderful, comfortable house, with all the necessary equipment, lovely bedrooms.”
In the yard there is a barbecue area and a large table with benches. Convenient location, 15-20 minutes walk to the center and seafront.
- Farida, March 2024Adrienne “Enjoyed our stay.”
Lovely mix of vintage charm and modern convenience. Plenty of space and all the bits and pieces we needed. The fans were a godsend in the heat (we didn’t try the heat pumps as we were out most of the time at the fantastic Art Deco weekend). Couldn’t open front door, but easy access through french door beside. Thank you for adding to our great holiday.
- Adrienne, February 2024Karen “We were unable to access the door using the large key but had no issues getting access through the other two doors.”
We loved our stay and really appreciated the Air Con and numerous fans, they were well used. A great spot for 4 golfers to relax between rounds

- David, September 2022Nathan “Great place.”
We didn’t have an option to say yes/no to sheets/towels though, so the team arrived only to find nothing was there. Also a phone call and email to Bachcare, saying they would resolve it and call us back, which nothing happened - no sheets, no phone call. Apart from that it was a great place
- Nathan, August 2022We are delighted you enjoyed this fabulous villa and our sincere apologies for missing your linen order. Bachcare
Linda “We had a lovely stay in the cottage , was a bit cold in the bathroom laundry area but we solved that and put a heater out of one of the bottom bedrooms and left that running .”
Had to clean heat pump filters out as it was not going to well it was blocked with fluff that thick it was like felt all going fine now though , nicknamed the brick toilet the dungeon hahahah , everything we needed was there except for a kitchen whisk and a egg beater , beds were comfy plenty of seats in tv room all and all we had a most enjoyable week there and would come and stay again

Just five minutes west of the city centre, Marewa was originally part the inner harbour and 'rose' above sea level in the Earthquake. As a result most of the suburb's housing was built in the Art Deco style and forms part of the Deco Tourist Trail. It has its own shopping centre and there are reserve walkways to take a stroll.
